Winchester

Top floor is best is to avoid noise. Great having parking and washer and dryer in unit. Very secure building. Lofts apartments, not that old but very dusty

Winchester Lofts

Loft and one bedroom new-ish apartments. More pricey than other options but worth it for extra comfort which becomes paramount as a med student (air conditioning, in-unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, elevators, gym). Large parking lot. Need to pay for parking but much easier than on-street parking in other parts of New Haven. Not too much noise from other apartments. Very secure building - some nearby streets are not as safe as other parts of New Haven but I've never had a problem. 5 minute drive to downtown New Haven.
