The apartment I moved into was completely different from the model that was shown to me. I feel that I was taken advantage of. No student should be subjected to this experience. Upon moving in I spent days cleaning before feeling comfortable to unpack my things. The AC went out with in a week of moving in and the door initially did not lock well. These are among MANY other problems I had.

1.) Uninhabitable. Apartment had mold at move-in growing in the walls and in the vents. Management was notified via email and in person for over a month. They ignored correspondence. Until I threatened to break lease did they make efforts in correspondence. They only offered to move me, and the move would be at my own expense.

2.) Maintenance. Poor maintenance in general. The apartment is riddled with repair issues. Fans didn't work. Outlets regularly flip the breakers. Cabinets falling off or improperly installed. Painted over vents. Chipped paint (including the tub!). Outlets regularly flip the breakers (even when only minimal utilization appliance/electronic is plugged in). Internet outages consistent each month. The majority of the actual maintenance team does not care about the maintenance and is about getting the most minimal solution in the quickest time. There is only one member of the four that I have met that has been truly helpful. The others do not care, and will in fact mark work orders as complete even if they haven't fixed the issue.

3.) Outdated. Appliances and fixtures are old and sometimes outdated. At move-in I had to have the coils on the stove replaced because they were rusted or didn't fit. When they attempted to replace, they realized that the model coil was not in stock anymore.

4.) Pests. Roaches are everywhere. Pest Control has said they can not stop the infestation. Management acknowledges the issue, but can not and will not do anything about it.
