A lot of cost for little luxury
The place is okay. The maintenance staff is friendly and they have events for residents around once a month. This is the best I can say about the place. You do get assigned parking but others will park in your space, and people will park poorly so you cannot access your space. Your space is attached to your unit, this sounds good but my assigned spot is on floor three and my unit is on floor six. Additionally, there is only one elevator that reaches floor six, and it breaks around 6 times a year. Additionally, I have found trash in the hallways and elevators, and once I found so much trash stacked by the trash compactor that it was inaccessible. Further, they have turned half of the apartments in the complex into short-term vacation rentals. This leads to lots of noise in common areas, noise in halls, and people treating the property poorly. I don't want to be too harsh, this place is safe. The public access doors are passcode and key fob protected, the garage is locked and key fob protected. The place is in a good location, walking distance to the school and the downtown life. Nothing bad has happened to me while living here. I just feel like I pay too much per month to have to step over trash in the halls and see garbage stacked up by the compactor. Also don't let them tell you the pool is heated, its not.

Pricey but worth it
While there are cheaper options, living down town has a lot of benefits and is close to the law school. It’s within a moderate walking distance, but a quick commute. The facilities are broadly well maintained and the neighbors are friendly.

Marble Alley Lofts
The apartment is within walking distance of school. Maintenance usually comes on the same day that I submit a request. Front office management is friendly and we have assigned parking in a gated garage. It is expensive but I have never had any issues with safety or any amenities. My apartment is spacious with a balcony. Packages get left at your door and if they arent they are left in a paracell box and the key is put in your mailbox. You pay for valet trash which comes 5 days a week. Pool and clubhouse area is nice and stays well maintained and clean. Overall, I have no complaints except that the cost will likely break the bank depending on how you are paying your bills.

Very good apartment
These apartments are great. They are fairly expensive, but they are nice on the inside and are pretty safe (we have been alerted to only a few minor property thefts from unlocked cars in the garage).
The location is great as it is only a couple hundred yards to downtown restaurants and bars. The law school is a 1.2 mile walk from me, so on nice days I typically walk and it takes only about 20 minutes to get there.
The amenities and facilities are pretty nice. The pool area is great, but the gym leaves something to be desired as it really has room for only three or so people to workout at any given time (though I’ve rarely had issue getting in there). They provide a Starbucks coffee machine for residents, if you don’t have your own coffee / want something different.
The staff is generally pretty good, and I’ve had minimal issues with them. The manager is somewhat an airhead, but still helpful. I’ve been locked out of my apartment / gate a couple of times when I have accidentally left my keys somewhere and instead of charging me, they will hand me an extra key and just have me bring it back. The maintenance staff is great as they always respond quickly even to minor, non-urgent requests.
The apartment’s residents largely seem to be graduate students / professionals in Knoxville and so it tends to be fairly quite in the halls. Noise is not much of an issue.

Marble Alley Review
Nice apartment, close to campus, and close to downtown. The only downside of living downtown is it can be noisy and the walls are relatively thin.
