Biggest issue is that most of the amenities, like the gym and lounge, are not available bc of on going construction. Also, there are different studio layouts with and without a kitchen island like the 1-bedroom units, so make sure you ask the manager about it.

Overlook Review

I value the fact that this apartment is close to Martin's, making it easy for me to get groceries. The facilities and service are also good. However, I did not see a lot of soundproofing effort except for the carpet in the hallway. The wooden floor at the apartment makes it easy to clean but I can hear the footsteps of people above me at 3 am. Although the people next door are very quiet, I sometimes hear partying noise from people living on the other end of the hallway.

Living in the Overlook was a huge mistake.

Positives include:
-15 minute walk to business school classes
-Usually can find a parking spot
-Elevator usually works
-Maintenance guy is nice and tries to do a good job

Negatives include:
-Mattresses that are firmer than a stretcher bed
-Small uncomfortable couch
-Cable that often doesn't work
-Shaky internet
-Very loud in Building 1 with people talking in the parking lot and quad echoing; with a bar downstairs, the noise continues into the middle of the night
-Rude management
-Random towing at off hours contracted with sketchy cash-only towing company (looked like money laundering operation when picking up vehicle from pound)
-Hidden fees when paying utilities
-Garbage pickup two days per week at 4:30 in the morning and it's VERY loud
-Construction was supposed to be done in July but has continued into October with no confirmed end date
-Management doesn't apologize or work with you when you are dealing with problems

Good location (about 12 minute walk to Stayer/Mendoza)
Nice place with modern appliances and cabinets
A bit of a hike from Eddy Street

Good location, nice living space.

Don’t handle packages well
Walk to Mendoza is between 16 minutes and 20. Not ideal in cold weather or twice or thrice a day.
Gym is being renovated.
The apartment itself is nice and I like the in unit amenities, internet, washer dryer and TV.

It is in a great location, and clean for the most part. No window in one of the bedrooms, washer and dryer in one of the bedrooms. Shared bathroom.
