Pebble Creek Review
Pebble Creek has been a wonderful experience for my wife and I. First, the neighborhood is very safe. I have never felt any insecurity at all. We have not had any maintenance issues. When we have, the maintenance team promptly responded and corrected the issue (ie: fire alarm out of battery, broken window blinds). The one downside is that the walls are very thin. I bought a white noise machine to help me sleep, but we can still hear the other residents throughout the day and night. Our neighbors are all respectful however and everyone keeps the noise down at night time. There are also many other med students who live at Pebble Creek which helps for carpooling. The location is also great with Kroger, Food Lion, Chipotle, Panda, Blaze Pizza, and Carilion Wellness all within a 5min drive radius.

Overall
The apartment complex has been very nice so far and maintenance has been helpful. The only issue we’ve had is when we moved in the stove did not work. It took 2 weeks to get this fixed.

You must confirm your apartment is NON-SMOKING
When I was signing the lease on my apartment, Pebble Creek told me that smoking was only allowed in designated areas outside the building at least 25 feet away from the building. I also signed a section of the lease stating that no smoking would be allowed inside the building or my apartment. When I arrived to move in, my unit smelled like cigarette smoke. I cleaned the entire place top to bottom, but it still reeked of smoke. As it got colder, I complained to management, and they said that it was probably left over from a previous tenant and that they would submit a work order for my apartment to be thoroughly cleaned by their staff. That never happened. I'm someone who has pretty sensitive allergies, so as I continued living there, I started developing chest tightness and occasional trouble breathing. One night, I came back from school and could literally smell the smoke seeping through my bedroom wall from whoever lived next to me. The next day I went to the leasing office to bring to their attention that one of the residents were breaching their lease by smoking indoors, but management told me that they were, in fact, allowed to smoke indoors because my building was a "smoking friendly" building and that my lease confirmed this. My lease said no such thing. I was able to get a medical release to move out of my apartment over winter break after living there for about 4 months. The apartment space itself was quite nice, especially for the price. However, if you're someone who also has sensitive allergies, or wants to avoid cigarette smoke in general, you MUST confirm with management that your unit is a non-smoking unit. I also highly recommend touring your unit and building before signing the lease; I was unable to do this because of COVID-19.

excellent
clean, spacious, with prompt responses for maintenance requests. feels very safe. the only negative thing i can say is that it it slightly further away from school than I would like to be, but it's right on electric road and takes only 15 mins to get to the school or RMH. in addition, you pass tanglewood mall and other shops on your way home, which makes running errands easy.

Pebble Creek
Pebble creek apartments are great, safe, quiet and close to pretty much everything like Kroger, AMC, Carilion gym and only 10 mins away from school. If you like studying at home and don't want to be at school all the time it's the perfect place. Management and maintenance are very responsive.

Very nice apartments in Convenient location to gym, shopping, medical school
I have lived at Pebble Creek for the entire 4 years I've been in medical school. Staff is friendly and has always been quickly responsive to all my maintenance requests. The complex is very well maintained with a beautiful pool, tennis courts, playgrounds, and very nice fenced in dog parks. Rent is very reasonable compared to other area apartments. It is also conveniently located less than 5 minutes away from a Kroger and Food Lion, is very close to the gym that medical students receive a free membership to, about 10-15 minutes from the medical school and downtown Roanoke.
Overall, while these apartments are not the "trendiest" in town, they are very solid and I recommend this location!

FBRI/VTC student friendly
Pros: good/affordable place to live for residents who work/study at VTC/FBRI. Front office staff people are good.
Cons: no consistency in package delivery-sometimes gets delivered by the door and other times in the main office; this is problematic if you have a busy work schedule. rent is seeming to go up every year, not sure if this will be affordable in 2021-2022. maintenance staff takes a while to respond to concerns-AC took 2 months to get fixed, leaky bathtub faucet took 3 weeks to get properly fixed. Not sure what the pest fee is for since there are beetles in my apartment. you can always hear upstairs members walking everywhere.
