Wonderful building
It's big enough and small enough. I can recognize my neighbours, and I haven't had any problems with anyone I've lived next to so far (everybody seems really nice! lots of families and people with dogs). Walls are a little thin, but I've only ever heard normal living noises from adjacent units - nothing that really disturbed me. Management isn't too nosy, but is responsive to calls for maintenance and provides gentle guidance when needed. The superintendent is very kind.
There is a SWEET vending machine on the first floor by the mailboxes that gives you anything you want for only a dollar. It cannot be overstated how much joy this vending machine brings me.
There is no garbage chute, which means you have to lug your garbage and recycling downstairs, but that also means that you don't get pests as easily. I haven't seen anything more threatening than a wandering bumblebee in my unit, and neither did the previous tenant who'd lived there for ten years.
It's not easy to get a unit in this building though - I've heard you have to wait a long time before something might open up.
