Assiniboine Road Apartments

Living at 320 Assiniboine is convenient as a grad student and all my basic needs are met. However, rent is quite expensive and unaffordable as a student with a disability (who cannot work part time to help pay for expenses).

The apartment is generally good, the fixtures work, the apartment is normally a comfortable temperature (occasionally suffocatingly hot in the summer).The design of the windows is fairly inconvenient as you can't place a fan or A/C unit in them to have control over your apartment's temperature during very hot days.

It is a very decent space for the cost (especially because I share with my partner). The apartment did seem to not have been cleaned/repaired after the last tenants move out and there is a minor bug problem, but considering the cost and proximity to classes I'm happy enough

The apartment is convenient only due to location and rent. It could be cheaper for student housing. The walls are thin, old furniture, hasn’t been renovated, bad air ventilation and there is asbestos in the walls. Housing takes a long time to deal with repairs.

Clean and spacious, but pretty basic. Not near anything, though the subway is a great resource for commuting in to Toronto

Good student Residence

340 Assiniboine is an excellent place to live for those who like to be a 3 minute walk away from the Osgoode building. The rent for a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom is also amazing. The apartment is also fully furnished as well.

However, housing can take a while to respond to housing requests and the temperature is unpredictable especially in the winter where it can get very hot.
