Morton Mansion is Worth it!
It comes with washer & dryer and a balcony. Appliances are all modern. Management company is wonderful and prompt with any maintenance. Accessible enough to law school that it is a reasonable walk, but there is a bus nearby too that takes most of the way. The gym is wonderful. The printing is a very nice perk as a first-year. Neighborhood feels safe and is generally quiet.
That said, I live on the highest floor. I would not recommend living on the first floor because it might not have as much privacy and it might be noisier.

Good apartment, but expensive
The apartment is nice, no major issues so far. The rent is pretty high though. I pay $140 on top of rent for parking in the Cedarview parking garage. They provide internet, but no WiFi. There are ethernet ports throughout the apartment but need to buy a router if you want WiFi.

Nice
I have always had a pleasant experience with renting my apt. If I need maintenance, they come next day so it has been nice.

Good on the outside, bad on the inside
Property looked great from advertisements. I have a good amount of space, and my unit has great appeal when you initially walk in. So for hosting guests it is great. However, there are a few glaring issues that management will not address no matter how much you notify them about it

Cozy & Costly
I've had a good experience with maintenance thus far. The price of the apartment is on the higher end and the amenities are basic. DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING! There is a EMS lost right next door that you can park in for $60 per semester as long as you have a scholarship of $3,500 or more.

Cedarview Management is a horrendous property manager
The apartment itself is not bad. It’s newer, spacious and the handyman is efficient at fixing problems. However, Cedarview management is a horrendous property manager. Ironically as an MBA, I would recommend them to hire a consultant to fix many issues. Here is a list:
I pay for parking and they towed my car.
They coerce you into thinking parking is a hot commodity and ultimately there are a ton of free spaces a year. Do not believe their stories.
They do not fix Issues in a timely manner.
I was locked out of my own unit and apartment on move in day. There is no one on the weekends to help get you into the unit, so they left my homeless for the weekend even though I started paying rent by this time.
The internet is horrendously slow and they do nothing to spend money to upgrade it despite asking. Even when trying to buy faster service. The infrastructure does not support Comcast’s higher speeds.
They did not help get my bed into the unit when it was supposed to be delivered in unit.
They are very snarky and have an attitude at any sort of feedback and criticism regarding these issues.
Ultimately, they do not have to work hard to fill their units because of the high demand and so they give terrible service. A management company like this would not survive in Flordia or New York City where I am used to a completely different level of service. It is unreal.
Whatever you do, do not sign a two year lease like I did because you think you will be saving money. If you must move to Tenth and college for an emergency purpose. Sign a three month lease or sublet until you find a better property manager by better service.
