Nice enough building- but management isn't the best

The amenities are nice. There is a Frothy Monkey coffee machine, pool, gym, yoga room- with some classes included, game court, multi-use area (kitchen, tables, games, fireplace, couches), private office areas, and a printer. The management is so-so. Lease renewal should be better. In the end, they are more interested in getting new tenets than trying to keep anyone they have. A salesperson told me they only earn commissions on new leases.

Good Apartment, Poor Management

We have lived here through a change in management and the new management is pretty terrible. Construction is constant with no progress, such as an indoor/outdoor space that's been closed for an entire year with no progress being made. We have had issues with plumbing and the response from management was "Well, one of our maintenance guys has COVID and the other got shot, so we've got about a month of waitlist." That's very unfortunate but you still need to hire a replacement so we don't have hundreds of unanswered maintenance requests throughout the complex.

Overall solid apartment for the price

A very-pet friendly building. Management is usually pretty decent about fixing issues if you go downstairs to their office. Maintenance can take a long time depending on your issue, but if it’s something urgent like your A/C going out in 90 degree heat they’ll fix it quickly. Indoor garage parking. Ceiling can be a bit thin so you can hear noise from above sometimes. I’ve had small issues with my apartment but nothing huge.

It's great but a lot of construction right now

They're renovating the mail room which is a big hassle. But they're pretty good. Nice amenities.

Overall good BUT..

There are many restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance which is pretty great. The complex is very clean and safe and the apartment itself is modern. Only downside is the insane pet fee and many hidden service fees that up the rent, but I think that’s the case with most apartments in general unfortunately.
One of my biggest complaints is the sound. You will not hear a peep from neighbors next to you, but the ceilings/floors are extremely thin. You will hear everything from your upstairs neighbor so beware of that if you are noise-sensitive, especially at night.

Station 40

Really great apartment, no problems so far. Tucked back in a neighborhood but close to everything you need. A bit on the expensive side. New management company just took over and there have been some hiccups

Excellent option!

I absolutely love Station 40. The apartment is great and very dog friendly. It is less than 10 minute drive to parking garage at VUMC and the I couldn’t be happier. It is very safe and parking is great.

This apartment has been pretty good overall. When I first moved here, the property was managed by a different group. I actually preferred living here then. The change in management hasn't been too bad, just not as good as it once was and my rent has gone up since moving here. Overall it is a nice place and I consider it to be safe. It's also near a lot of food and shopping and is fairly close to downtown and school which is all nice.
