Great place to live
It's a great place to live. Each building has one elevator and one laundry room. I live in building 2. The space is great and enough for one person, even two. There's no mail room but there are mailboxes on the 1st floor and security cameras in every public corner of the building. There is no security desk.
The Meyers Management office is actually in building 4 of the complex so it's very accessible and the office overall is responsive. Maintenance may take time to actually address your request, depending on how busy they are (not unlike almost all other maintenance offices). There is no thermostat in your unit. They control the heat (almost too) well- it gets hot in the summer. There are no AC units, so you have to buy that yourself, but they can install it for you, and also a faucet water filter if you choose to get one. The building is older (i think it was built in the 1960s) but very well maintained and doesn't have the "old smell". Haven't had any type of pest problem so far. The only bugs you'll see are the ones that maybe slip through the window screens, which are not much, and the fruit flies that get attracted to your garbage if you leave it in for over a week.
Parking is about 75 a month and they have assigned parking spaces in the court and also a parking garage behind the building. The main garbage and recycling disposal is also behind the building, but they have smaller ones in front. (Though they said you're not supposed to put garbage in there, you can still do it just make sure it's not overflowing. )
Garbage dumpsters are emptied at least a couple of times a week.
Neighbors are friendly. For the most part, everyone minds their business. The walls are not thin, but can sometimes hear neighbors from inside their units if they're yelling. Most other tenants are graduate students at various schools. By the way, no pets are allowed unless you can prove they are emotional support animals. Also, they just closed storage for building 2 for renovations. Don't know when that will be reopened.
