Good enough for the price and convenience
It's a very old building, so issues such as leaking ceilings (I'm on the third floor) and broken AC are somewhat common. The layout of the apartment also means that the living room doesn't have a window. However, my bedroom has lots of sunlight. But the huge window in my bedroom does mean that it gets cold in the winter. Regardless, its distance to the university and its affordable price make those issues acceptable to me.

Ideal
I am not very fussy about housing, once I have a roof over my head.
This unit is clean and spacious enough. Heating system works fine and landlord promptly responds to every concern.
The washer and dryer are within the unit so that's a plus.
The walls are thin though so a little bit of noise overboard can disturb a roommate.
It's about 20 minutes away from Vandy's main campus so not too bad
