Arium City Lakes Pros and Cons
A nice 10-15 minute drive from campus without traffic and ~20-25 with traffic. It's right off of 610, so it's convenient to get around. They gave us a student discount of 15% I believe? Really flexible with the student loans situation.
Gated garage and assigned parking. Our apartment faces the lake, so the natural light is AMAAAZING. My 2B2B is pretty even in size, so one bedroom isn't necessarily better or significantly larger than mine. They both have pretty large bathrooms and walk in closets. Kitchen has been remodeled so they have granite countertops and an island along with a spacious living room.
Management isn't that great and can be a little unresponsive. I find myself running into quite a few issues regarding incorrect charges onto my account so I have to keep up with every itemized list of charges posted each month. A lot of things are run down, like the elevator doesn't work, light bulbs are out in some hallways, and it'll take a few days for maintenance people to fix something. You also can't opt out of the valet trash! It can also get a little loud on the weekends with music from my neighbors.
