Good value
Good community and great price. A bit far from campus (40 min by bus, door to door), so having a car is more convenient (15 min by car).

Good value but far from University

Great
The rental fee was increased a lot, by 30% from the previous year, which was unexpected. Except the burden, I love this housing.

Great value
Can't beat the deal, but definitely not a lot of frills. Appliances, countertops, etc., pretty old but all very functional.

Great for the price!
I think the University Village apartments are really nice. The apartment itself is relatively updated and we have no major issues. If you are unfamiliar with Los Angeles, the rent here is extremely cheap especially for the Westside. It would be impossible to find an apartment at this quality for this price.
I think the only downsides to the apartment are that it is literally on the freeway - the freeway separate both University Village properties. It is also not in the most walkable area, and the street parking is very dangerous. There is only one stop light so people J-walk a lot and Sawtelle is a busy road and cars drive 40 MPH at a minimum. There is also street cleaning on Monday and Tuesday and sometimes its impossible to find street parking on those nights so if you are in a 2 car household like me it can be a little frustrating.
I also think it would be nice if there was a small gym here but that would just make it extra nice!

Great for couples and families
It's a lovely, peaceful, safe complex. Lots of kids and virtually all the amenities are geared toward children - like the pool and the several playgrounds. There are not really any amenities for adults. Oh, and the internet situation is a disaster.

Family Housing
The children can get quite loud during the day and can be a bit annoying. Doing laundry is challenging because the app will say everything is available but no one has taken out their clothes.
But it is affordable in comparison to LA costs and big.

University Housing Surpassed my expectations
University Village seemed to be the budget option for my time at UCLA Law. However, I quickly found that it was actually the best possible place I could have landed! There’s no better value near UCLA.
