Regents Park reviews and highlights
- the apartment has lots of windows and storage

- gym, indoor pool, and coffee store inside the apartment
- the bus is extremely convenient
- we got both cockroaches and bed bugs
- there aren't sufficient elevators
- great amenities, apartments are spacious

- pool is dirty
- feels very safe
- maintenance staff is great
Solid
The facilities aren't perfect, but if anything is wrong, maintenance fixes it very quickly. It's not a "luxury" apartment, but it's pretty nice; a great deal (especially if you have roommates); it's right next to a bus stop going directly to the law school; and you'll live near your classmates/friends.

Great
Great apartment with tons of light, space, and storage. Easy access to 172 bus to school and 6 bus to the Loop. Good amenities and value for money.
Only cons are slow package system and elevators, but comes with being in a larger building

fine unless you want to actually receive the packages you are sent
Lots of nice things about living in these buildings. But definitely don't consider it if you care about actually receiving packages that you are sent. The package rooms are barely organized, incoming packages are mis-filed, and you may easily need to sort through hundreds of packages before finding yours. For example, we just managed to retrieve a package today, two weeks after it had arrived in Regents Park, and in spite of spending much time looking for it every day in that interval. The situation is frustrating beyond belief, the management has known about it for months, and they somehow can't manage to do anything about it.

Regents Park Review
It's a solid apartment and pretty spacious for the price. The windows are large, which allows for good natural lighting (and usually a nice view). You pay an additional, monthly amenity fee of $150 for electricity, water, and other building services.

Regents Park - bad, but good
The apartment is nice and has a great view. The bathroom and the kitchen could be better. I think that there are some renewed apartments in Regents, but mine is not.
The gym is ok, although the equipment they offer is not new.
The maintenance is not good. To ask for a service, you have to open a work order online and they rarely show up on the scheduled time. To make sure that they will show up, you have to keep calling Mac Properties.
The good things about Regents are that a lot of students live here and that it is close to the University.

It's okay
Apartment itself is fine. Housing is spacious, windows are nice, location is good. Lots of law students here, so it feels sort of like a grown up dorm building which can be fun but can also potentially get old. Maintenance can be slow, but so far I'm satisfied with everything since the price is so reasonable. The 172 comes right to the corner so it is very convenient. The management is not good - move-in was a disaster. If at all possible, try to move in on a weekday! Reserve the freight move-in elevator many weeks in advance!

The Views are Amazing, The Complex is Large
I have had a terrifically positive experience with this apartment - I have a gorgeous lake view, a ton of space, a terrific roommate, and no complaints about anything within the apartment. The complex is large though, so sometimes getting packages from the package room can be challenging, and every now and again an elevator is malfunctioning such that it takes a long time to get up/down from the apartment. I haven't had a need to put in a maintenance request, but I have heard mixed things regarding the speed with which requests get completed. Overall, I think the onsite staff are super nice and want to be helpful, the neighbors are lovely, the apartment is spacious, and the commute to UChicago is easy.
