1570 Oak Avenue reviews and highlights
- No covered parking
- Carpeted floors
- Tiny kitchens
- Close to downtown
- Vintage Apartment
- Building is old and hasn't been recently renovated
- Shuttle is close by
- One of the cheapest options in Evanston and its location is pretty close to downtown
Great value, good management
The apartment is somewhat falling apart, but it's a great deal in a great location. Maintenance is quick to respond to issues (usually within 1-2 days) and haven't had any issues with the landlord. Good heating in the winter, but need to install your own window A/C and it costs extra.

Don't Live Here
The apartment seemed like a steal, but I wouldn't pick it again. Elevators are always broken. Had a gas leak early in the year. And now it's being treated for potential bed bugs.

Great downtown location
Older building priced accordingly, right by Five and Dime/Taco Diablo. Not currently many Kellogg students living here, but there are a bunch at building across the street (1575). Maintenance staff is prompt

"Vintage Apt"
Definitely in the true spirit of the phrase "Vintage Apt" - it's an old building without great amenities. Carpeted floors, tiny kitchens that have not been renovated in 10+ years and old piping everywhere. However, it is cheap and probably one of the cheapest option in Evanston. It's location is pretty close to downtown but rather far from Jacobs Center.

Dont live here
1570 Oak, while convenient to downtown, is NOT a good place to live while at Kellogg. It is a bit of a walk (~20 mins which feels worse in the winter). Shuttle is closeby. Building management is not good. No amenties. Building is old, no covered parking. Utils (except cable/internet) included. No pets allowed
