Great Location
The location is everything. The building is old, but the units are fine.

Nice clean and close to campus
I’ve never had a bad experience living hat Laurel Village for the past 2 years. Living one block from the law school is the best part of this location, and parking is only $70 a month and secure.

Overall Great
There have been some issues with homeless people following me in, but the management is responsive and sends the security team to keep watch.
The heat controlled by the building, and I have to leave windows open to keep the temperature manageable even when it is snowing out.
The building is older and so it does have some issues, but facilities is quick to resolve any issues.
I love the space, the amenities are amazing to have in my building, and everyone is super friendly.

Laurel Village
Laurel Village has become a great home for my partner and me. The amenities (pool/hot tub/gym/events/etc.) have been great and maintenance is prompt. The building is older so there have been some things needing fixing, but the ease of doing so has been great.

Review
The apartment is clean and spacious with easily accessible amenities. The pool and gym are a big plus and the location is perfect for walking to the law school!

Laurel Village Review
With the price tag in mind, the apartment is pretty decent, and the location is probably as close as you can get to the law school within walking distance. However, the amenities are not great, the parking is cheap but is not underground or super secure (this differs by building, though), the security of the actual building isn't fantastic, and there are somewhat frequent issues with things in the apartment (low water pressure, dryer machine not working, fire alarms going off for no reason, etc). There is a gym, but I've never been able to use it because it space smells like straight chemicals. One time I tried walking on the treadmill and I didn't last more than 10 minutes because I became nauseated and dizzy. My roommate and I both ended up purchasing gym memberships elsewhere which was annoying since we anticipated using the gym at our apartment. Additionally, the management office controls when heat and AC are switched for the season, so by the beginning of October our AC switched to heat, and our apartment had the worst temperature control. No matter if our windows were open all day (we live on the 11th floor) it would be way too hot. Myself and other law students who live at Laurel Village have talked about how insanely dry our apartments have become as a result of the inability to control heat on our own -- I had to buy a humidifier because I started getting bloody noses on the regular and my hair turned into a static nightmare. My roommate and I have had a decent experience with the management office, but I know that has not been the case with other residents.

Prime Location
I love the view I have of the skyline and Target Field. I always feel relaxed when I come home to my apartment. I live just a few blocks from the law school, so it's an easy walk with Lunds and Byerlys right one the way to grab groceries after class. The management and leasing offices are great to work with and super responsive. The amenities are also nice, and for living downtown, it's very quiet. There is 24/7 security. I have always felt safe.
