Value for Money; Non DC vibe.
The best part of living here is that one GUTS bus stop is right outside the building campus and another at the Rosslyn Metro Station, which is a 8-10 mins walk. The only problem about living here is that the neighbourhood becomes dull after 8 pm. The management is responsive but strict. There are amazing amenities included in the rent - gym, swimming pool, pool table.

Great place for a law student!
I love living at River Place South. It is clean, safe, and close to campus. Word of caution - there are 3 other buildings in the River Place complex and not all are in the same condition as RPS.

- no noise from neighbors
Cons:
- gym hours 6am-10:30pm
- central heating and AC (too hot and too cold at times)

Great experience
I really enjoyed touring the building. My tour guide was very helpful and knew what she was doing.
Very nice community
River Place is well situated in Roslyn with convenient access to the metro and Georgetown and the Mt Vernon trail
I highly recommend VeryApt.

Only affordable Studio in Rosslyn
The buildings and complex are old but fairly well kept and renovations are a regular event.
The gym is in my build and excellent! The pool is amazing in the summer, I just wish it was open earlier and later in the year and later in the day.
The management is responsive. I have a landlord who owns the apartment and I rent directly from her.
This complex is the only place you can get a studio for under $1800 in a managed complex in Rosslyn. So if you like the idea of a gym, pool, common areas, mail room etc... this is the place for you!
The biggest problem is the lack of a thermostat. I have no control over when the heat is on, when the AC is on and can't set the temperature any time in the year, other than using my windows to allow air in and out. This has become really annoying in warmer winter days and cooler days in the spring and fall.

Gets the job done!
Adequate, old building. Many units privately owned. Staff and management have been helpful. No control over thermostat.

About Rosslyn
Rosslyn Reviews
However, this has been a business district for ages. There is very little going on around here and many of the restaurants don’t even open on the weekends. But, that’s changing. So stay tuned!
(Also, I like living in Virginia because my vote counts for more here!)
If you have long legs, renting a bike is an option. If you are like me and 5'1'', renting a bike is an option for downhill rides.
There is a lot within walking distance in Rosslyn (think 20 min average from my apt): Barnes and Noble, shopping, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's (also on the Arlington loop shuttle from GU), public libraries, CVS, Target, Safeway, lots of restaurants.
Also close to dense populations of immigrant communities if you like Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean food.
Cons: Neighborhood shuts down after 5pm. Few restaurants in the neighborhood itself (this is getting better though). Concrete canyon effect because of the skyscrapers. Closest grocery store is an expensive Safeway.
