Berkshire Ninth Street reviews and highlights
- on the pricier side
- new complex with great furnishings
- nice gym and clubhouse
- convenient location close to groceries, restaurants, and coffee shops
Easy and convenient - train is loud
Berkshire Ninth apartments are super convenient but moving in and out is a pain and management doesn't try hard to accommodate. They're very responsive when there's issues re: pests, AC, keys etc.

Expensive but nice
The appliances and features of my unit are up to date and quite nice. It's on the pricier side but there are nice amenities like a pool, gym, courtyard with grills, etc. I've liked it here thus far. Management isn't always the most responsive and I had a couple issues with my move-in but overall, great experience.

Great appartment complex, might get annoyed by management fees and fines
We are very pleased with the community and our apartment. Management can get into your nerves with fines and warnings. For example, on several occasions, trash valet hasn´t taken our trash, but only once that we left the trashcan over 10am, we got a notification.

Great Community, but Pricey
I loved my experience living at B9 because the the location and floor-plan fit my lifestyle well. Harris Teeter is right across the street and I would walk everywhere. Sitting on my balcony was one of my favorite parts since the courtyard view was so beautiful. The amenities were great and I used most of the frequently such as the gym that had everything I needed. The managers tag on many extra fees after your base rent, so I would anticipate about $150 added to what they may originally tell you; those fees do not include electricity or wifi.

This much money for a studio in Durham?
I've been living here for 6 months and I'm still surly about how much I am paying. I lived in a newer, larger, better maintained apartment with a view of the pool in downtown Austin for the same price...and I have a view of the dumpster. Not to mention, I can't sit on the balcony because you can SMELL the dumpster. I might not be as surly if I was at least given an option of unit. The B9 management puts all students on a wait list and then when your size of unit becomes available, they send it to you - take it or leave it. At least 810 and S9 give you options so you don't feel like you're being held hostage. If I had to choose again, I would have gone to 810 or BMain.
Pros: Dog park & salt water pool.

B9 Studio Review
Can go over to Station 9 to socialize, but go home to peace and quiet. Great amenities. A bit on the pricier side but worth having for "me" time.

Location
B9 is great for being "near the party", but not "in the party". It is conveniently located near the other apartment complexes that Fuqua students live in, next to a grocery store and restaurants, and only a short 10-minute drive to the business school.

B9
Great location, very nice rooms and amenities. My only complaint is the property management company can be a bit slow to resolve issues and I often had trouble with gate clickers and keys not working.
