Great location and lovely staff

I live in a ~410 sq. ft studio and find that it has a lot of great storage, and feels like the perfect size for someone with a pet or a partner. There are 3 walk-in closets, and the high ceilings mean there's lots of good storage space in them. The kitchen is small, so only one person can really cook at a time, but it's efficient and has a dishwasher. The staff are amazing, both at the door and in maintenance. Whenever I've had an issue I've had it fixed within 24 hours, even on the weekends. They're doing renovations on the property right now to add a coat of paint to everything, but the building retains a clean appearance and I love the extras like the rooftop lounge - where you can get a glimpse of the lake and watch the Air and Water Show! Also have never seen so much as an ant, so they've really got pests under control. Only downsides are the very high price and maybe thin doors into the hallways, but I've never heard anything through the walls otherwise.

Wonderful Apartment in a Great Location!

Very nice apartment and it's so close to the lake and Michigan Ave. The neighborhood is quiet (considering it's in Chicago) and pretty safe. There are only other apartments/condos around the area. The concierge staff are very nice and they just recently redid the workout room.

Great amenities

Wonderful management who really are there for you when you need them! The building is very modern with nice amenities including a recently rebuilt gym/common area. The lobby even has freshly ground free coffee. Great roofdeck with grill. All the front desk people know you by name.

Beautiful, but Expensive

The Seneca is conveniently located in the Gold Coast, and has a gym. The studio I live in is extremely small, but this is an unbeatable location, with stainless steel appliances, and there is also bike storage. Biking around the city in the summer time is great, especially by the lake.

Vintage Chic in the Right Place

I absolutely love the Seneca Apartments. The people and the location is unreal! Walking distance to almost everything. A block and a half from Lake Shore Drive and a block and a half from Michigan. The security/ front desk attendants are beyond some of the best people you will ever meet.

The apartment maintenance guys are very helpful and accommodating. Whenever I need something fixed they are super quick to fix it, like that day it's fixed.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Seneca Apartments. Currently they are updating and the process is going faster than expected and I cannot wait to see the results!

Best Amenities

The Seneca is in a great location, being only a block from Michigan Ave. There is a 24 hour gym, a beautiful sun deck, and I ride my bike everywhere, so bike storage is extremely convenient. The apartments are furnished nicely with stainless steel appliances, and hardwood floors. Definitely recommend living here.

Great Location, a tad overpriced

I moved here in July 2012. You cannot beat its location -- steps away from Northwestern, Water Tower, 5 minutes to Chicago Red Lines. I believe it is a tad overpriced for what you get, however. There is a small gym and a rooftop access, but I think the finishes within the apartments could be better and laundry hook-ups at the very least. (Yes, it is an old building but "luxury" apartments have laundry in-units, I believe). The management is very responsive and extremely nice. If you are looking for location, this is perfect but you will have to pay a little more for it and get less.

Great Amenities

The Seneca is not only in a great and perfect location, but it also has fantastic amenities. The apartments themselves are beautiful and spacious, and there is a gym and a really pretty sundeck. I ride my bike everywhere, and there is bike storage, and laundry in the building

Perfect Location

Being right by the Hancock building, the Seneca is perfect. We have a really nice gym, and everything is within walking distance at the Gold Coast. Easy access to Michigan Ave shopping, and good restaurants, life on the Gold Coast is nice, but extremely EXPENSIVE

Good mid-rise, lots of privacy

It's a good apartment building. Reasonable prices, quiet, friendly staff, maintenance responds to requests within 24 hours consistently. View is not great, but it's a mid-rise so you take what you can get. Nice little Italian restaurant in the lobby.

Streeterville Reviews

Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.
Streeterville is a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and grocery stores. There is some late night crime due to the location downtown and close to the beach, but overall nothing worse than anywhere else.

There are some more expensive restaurants and fast food places. Navy Pier attracts a lot of tourists and they can be annoying to navigate around.
I enjoy living in Streeterville since it's near many of Chicago attractions without feeling overwhelming like in the Loop. I am able to walk around safely at night and I like going jogging in Millennium Park. My biggest complaint would be the lack of greenery in the area and how the city can feel a little bit insulating at times. Public transportation is great. This area is pricey, which is why I decided to have a roommate.
The Streeterville area was still pretty sleepy when I moved here three years ago. Since then, there has been an incredible amount of development. New luxury apartments and condos are going up, several new restaurants, a brand new target and Whole Foods. Its become a great place for professionals who enjoy living downtown, but without the club crowds in River North.
There are a few buses that are near by that help get residents down to the loop. Also it's pretty easy to walk around and the cross walks are pedestrian friendly. I'm always able to get around by foot and buses/trains. Streeterville is a very safe neighborhood and I've never felt unsafe walking around at night. The streets are well lit.
Noise is not usually too big of an issue in this neighborhood; it's pretty quiet at night.
There are multiple grocery stores nearby for multiple choices. Also there are a bunch of great places to eat so one will not get bored with options.
While on the expensive end in Chicago, streeterville is safe, has all the necessities (look for apts near grocery stores if you don't have a car!!), is super close to school (and most feinberg students so convenient for socializing), and is super close proximity to restaurants and bars.
This building is located in the center of everything you could possibly need. Whole foods and Jewel within walking distance, easy to get to the lake front, and plenty of good restaurants and bars. The only down side is that it does not really have a "neighborhoody" feel.
Love how close we are to the medical school, makes going to class really easy. A lot of students live in Streeterville so it is very easy to hangout with friends. There are also a few coffee shops in the neighborhood that are very fun to study at!
