Very safe, but expensive
We had a pretty good experience at Belle Harbor. It was very safe, and you could walk around the neighborhood without worrying about anything. It was also a short walk from the Riverwalk, which was super nice. The gym is fine, nothing special but has the essentials. The management was also very helpful and reasonable whenever we had to reach out to them. The only issue we had is that we payed about 2k per month after everything was taken into account for an apartment that was less than 600 square feet. Hard to do as a married couple with a dog.
Belle Harbour B3 floor plan
I have been very content with the apartment thus far. It is slightly more pricy than some other complexes on the island, but it feels like I am getting my moneys worth. I will note that sometimes getting maintenance to come and fix various issues at the apartment can be slow sometimes, but it has improved recently.
Belle Harbour Review
Great Apartment
Belle Harbour is a great place to live
I love living at Belle Harbour. As a female who lives alone, I feel very safe. The complex is only about 12 minutes from campus and is close to so many restaurants. Great management staff who made the moving-in process easy.
Very nice!
They are very good to us here and it’s incredibly safe!
I love it!
The apartment is great and the management is very helpful!
Best Value for Location
Relative to the four more popular higher-priced buildings within a 5-minute walk nearby, The Republic offers excellent value for this location with its newly renovated units, a complete amenity package, and good management. Would highly recommend for students hoping to live in the center of the Rittenhouse community without taking on the full price tag.
Solid option in Rittenhouse
Have really enjoyed living at the Republic. Would recommend living here to anyone looking for a nice place at a reasonable rent. Not perfect but a solid option.
Decent # of Wharton students here - not as many as the most popular buildings, but enough to have a community.
Pros:
- Rent reasonable (compared to other high rises)
- Amazing location by Target, CVS, public transit, Rittenhouse square, and more
- Renovated units are nice, especially for price
- Walls are thick - I rarely hear neighbors
- Lots of sq ft (depending on the unit)
Cons:
- Amenities (gym, conference room) are in basement with no windows
- Building itself is quite old - renovation is nice but sometimes shows its age with old appliances and occasional power outages
- Lots of outdoor street noise - this is probably true of other nearby buildings too
Lovely, quieter Apt close to Rittenhouse Square
I used to live at One City and my new apartment at The Republic is dramatically quieter. It's also on the nicer side of center city. I love how close it is to Rittenhouse Square and restaurants. The drexel shuttle stop on 19th street isn't too far, and there are a variety of other public transit options nearby (ie Bus 21).
Good value
Not the most glamorous building but relatively good value for the price, especially given the location.
The Republic
I’ve lived in the republic for a year and a half and have enjoyed my experience. The management is responsive to maintenance requests and is proactive about notifying residents about work done in the building. There is also very limited noise transferred between apartments. I’ve never heard my neighbors.
The Republic - 1bed/1bath
Not too spacious but just enough for one person. Very central location. Average to low level gym. Free printing services which is a plus. Maintenance takes a while to respond to issues. No bug problem yet.
Great Apartment for the Price
I have not had any major issues since moving here. Management is a little slow but not terrible.
Belle Harbour
Overall experience has been great! Amazing management and no security concerns. The only thing that is not great is the cost of rent, as it is one of the most expensive places in Memphis. Also, cooling the apartment has been a challenge at times, and it's far from everything except school.
very safe and convenient
I really enjoy living here. A lot of students across all UTHSC health tracks live here. There's a pool, a gym, great outdoor space, tennis court, study space, rec room, and it's very close to the greenbelt which I love. I also like the house-like apartment rather than 1 big building. Maintenance is always so kind to us and they take care of problems almost immediately. The gate is nice, it really gives me peace of mind living downtown, and the island in general is awesome
