Good enough

The front desk security staff is really nice and they are around 24/7. The gym is always empty. The area is safe because its near all the government offices in Philly. Everything you need is in walking distance. The rent is a reasonable price for its location. Its a 5 minute walk to Suburban Station.

Great location and space

The 1 bedroom is pretty spacious and lots of closet space. There is also available storage in the basement. It's close enough to being in center city without it being right in the center of all the noise. Only a 2 minute walk from the dragon shuttle and a 3 minute walk to the subway. It also feels safe with a 24/7 front desk person who also handles packages (never had any problems with packages). There is also a basketball court and gym that doesn't get too busy. The gym is sufficient but doesn't have too many machines or weights. They also just recently started to offer a discount on a meraba parking lot space. Personally, I split the rent with my boyfriend so the cost isn't too crazy for me. Only con would be that some walls are thin. Definitely depends on your neighbors.

Good location, thin walls

The Packard is great because of its location in Center City (5 minute walk from Drexel shuttle) and the proximity to Trader Joe's. They also do an amazing job with packages and the gym on the first floor is an added bonus. All units have huge windows and tall ceilings, which is great, but you will be spending more on heat in the winter. On the other hand, you will hear your neighbors when they have people over, and depending on how loud they watch TV, you will hear the TV as well. Management is good at addressing concerns with noise complaints and maintenance is also super quick to address your problems.

Chocolate Works 1Bd 1Bth Review

I love it here! I appreciate how far away it is from campus, which means I have at least 30ish minutes to read an e-book, listen to music, or take longer if I want to get my daily exercise in.

It is pricey, but if you can afford it, there are amenities. It stays pretty temperature regulated, so electricity isn't much. It is pretty big, and management has always been incredibly helpful and quick with whatever issue I'm having.

I want to live in a home where I am comfortable and happy. So, for me, paying more for this place has been well worth it.

But, if you want to be close to everything within an easy walk, and if you're on a tighter budget, Chocolate Works probably will be tough.

The location is great. I park my car in a garage for $295 per month. The area is safe and quiet. I am in walking distance to 8th and market patco station. I have a much bigger apt and pay a lot less than I did last year when I lived in center city

Packard Review

I have really enjoyed staying at the Packard. I live in the largest apartment size available, which has a corner apartment/view. It allows for a lot of light, and it has 13 or 15 foot ceilings which are great.
We do live on Broad Street, so there is a lot of traffic and there is a motorcycle parade that happens pretty regularly most nights a week. The windows do a good job muting out the noise, but they can still be heard.

Solid, average high rise price for area

Place is loud to live in with broad st nearby and all the morning traffic. Plus the walls are thin unfortunately. But the place has a basketball court and an ok fitness center. New management is really iffy so far though.

Solid but new management is a step down

New management took over about 6 months ago, and they are so money hungry, and too slow on any maintenance request. The price of the apartment is average for the location and amenities but it is an old building with thin walls. I get woken up by people next door talking, or the trash trucks coming 1-2 times a week in the back alley. If you love this area, I would probably recommend it but would caution you a little if you aren't dialed in on logan square.

Convenient location and friendly staff

10 management rating Reviewed by on

As someone who prefers to live in the city, the apartment is only a 5 minute walk to Suburban Station for the regional line to Villanova. It is a safe area and there is 24-hour security.

Nice bars and restaurants are only a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment.

The leasing, security, and facilities staff are very friendly and helpful, and after a while, you get to know the staff and they feel like family.

The move-in process was seamless. There's a loading dock in the back of the building.

The building has thick walls and you can hardly hear the city noise.

There are some amenities available but they also don't charge an amenity fee. There's a basketball court, a gym, a small lounge, and a rooftop.

This has been a great apartment to live in over the last 3 years! While the price of rent has gone up and no longer reflects a "pandemic deal" it is still affordable for the amenities provided including concierge at front desk, basketball court, full gym, community room, and mail/package room. There is a really nice rooftop deck with a great skyline view. Staff are great and super helpful! The apartments themselves can vary but mine was recently updated for no extra cost before I moved in. In-unit washer and dryer, water is provided, large open spaces although not with the best lighting depending on the unit you get. Walls are a bit thin and sound can carry but neighbors are all young professionals and very good about being quiet before or after a call shift. About a 12-15 minute walk from the hospital so far enough removed but easy commute and you can walk right through the open area of City Hall! Right next to Love Park and in the heart of Center City with everything you need within a block or two of the apartment.

I’ve really loved living here. The building is always so clean, we have really great staff that work hard to keep the building in great shape. The units have amazing floor to ceiling windows. Management is super responsive and friendly, so easy to talk to and accessible. They host great building events. The roof has the best views and I love being able to use the fire pits and grills up there. Maintenance is so quick to respond and I’ve never had any pest issues. Our floor is super quiet and respectful, never had any issues with neighbors. Although parking isn’t provided by the building, there’s a lot next door which is very convenient! We used to live in a unit that gets less sun, but our new unit gets a lot of direct rays so it warms up our apartment and makes the AC run often. That’s my only complaint. Our old unit had a small closet in the bedroom but the new unit has a bigger one, which has been great!

Perfectly placed to travel either direction on the train. Close to highway entrances and exits traveling N/S and E/W. Great community feel with friendly neighbors. Has a basketball court in the building, and I met my husband there. Comfortable community areas for studying with neighbors and friends, throwing dinner parties, or watching big games on their TV.
