Quiet, dog friendly apartments not far from campus

This area is very residential and feels like you're out of the city. There are pros and cons to that. I have a dog, so a big pro for me is how comfortable I feel walking her around every day and how nice the area is. However, where I'm situated there isn't easy access to transit. The building itself is older, but I haven't had any issues maintenance-wise and management has been responsive. There is not much in the way of amenities. The building looks out on a small green-belt and a little bit of the bay and each unit has a porch. It's very close to a park with a playfield and courts. Takes me 10 minutes to drive to campus.

Close to Campus

Clearwater Apartments is a less than ten minute walk from Seattle University's campus. If you are on the lower floors, then you won't have much of a view, but the studios are spacious compared to the price you pay. The management is incredibly friendly and responsive. There are two levels of underground parking that cost an additional $150 a month. I included this amount in my rent for this review. Electric is through the City of Seattle and WiFi is only through Wave/Astound (no XFinity allowed). There is a somewhat strict no pets policy. The closests are somewhat cramped, but they have an in-unit washer/dryer in them which makes up for the crampness. There is a locked gate to enter the complex and all packages are gathered by management to ensure no theft occurs.

Great place to live

These apartments are in a fantastic location in the Williams neighborhood. You can walk to many restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and shops. Everything you need is right outside your door step. The apartments have a ton of amenities, including bike storage, a gym, a pet washing facility, underground parking, and a community rec room. The apartments are 2.5 miles from central downtown- an easy 10 minute bike ride or drive. It takes me about 20-25 minutes to get to campus.

Afforable and city centre

the actual apartment is great. Sometimes there are incidents in the building that make me uncomfortable, such as vomit on the floor one time. There is sometimes unclean halls and it is overly hot with the free heating. However things are dealt with aptly and it is well run.

Amazing Building- Horrible Management.

Such an awesome building, you know there is alot of history to this building! But unfortunately the new management company that took over has treated this building at a red-head step child. Yes- this is a low income apartment facility, but just because that's the issue, it shouldnt mean that you need to treat the tenants as deserving of less. Constant fire alarms going off in the middle of the night, maintenance issue beyond belief, manager is never on site, constant transients in our building, although property management swears by the security company that its" not an issue". Allied has put the blame on the tenants rather then find a resolution to this re-occuring issues. If only we could get a company that would like to manage this property, rather then just cut corners for tax allowances. The location of The Madison, is the best of all things! You are literally 3 blocks away from downtown Seattle, in between Swedish Medical and Virginia Mason. The historical bar Vito's is downstairs! Unfortunately, the cleanliness of this building is atrocious and that will definitely make people stray away from this place. Its such a shame, what a waste of an amazing building.

New management was very strict about anything you can think of, so experiencing this change was quite annoying. We had to get rid of our plants in the balcony for example. Overall I had a good experience. They fix things on time and are very friendly. There arent many kids or dogs around and it is very quiet and peaceful. Love it.

Excellent Location

The apartment complex is located very close to the bus route, and has an easy access to SR-520. There is a gym available inside the complex, complete with a hot tub. There are a bunch of restaurants nearby, Thai, An Irish Pub, a famous donut store (which also serves great coffee). With the apartment overlooking the Sammamish river trail, a good workout is never far away...
