Cleveland Park
Walkable Neighborhood with Beautiful Residential Space
Cleveland Park’s two major streets, Wisconsin and Connecticut Avenue, bring liveliness to the neighborhood with rows of bars and restaurants, while the side streets remain quiet and beautiful with residential homes in a serene and historic atmosphere. With the National Cathedral, the Uptown Theater or Dino just a few blocks away, Cleveland Park never gets boring.

Cleveland Park —

Very close to the red line metro stop and I never feel unsafe in Cleveland park as a single woman. The crowd is a bit older over here, but there are some grad students because Howard Law is close by. There is a target, CVS, GW urgent care, library and streets market all in the same shopping center along with several restaurants. there are many trails to run/bike through rock creek park which is a favorite pass time of mine

Cleveland Park is one of the best DC neighborhoods to live in. It is family friendly, quiet, and very safe. It's walking distance to the Zoo, metro, grocery stores, movie theater, and delicious restaurants on Connecticut Ave. Everything you need is just a step away from the numerous apartment complexes located in the neighborhood. Cleveland Park is great!

Love living in Cleveland Park. Very cute "main street" on Connecticut Ave with lots of restaurants, shops, and a target. We're adjacent to Rock Creek Park for walking, and the bike trail that goes through the park and down to Georgetown.

Great neighborhood, very safe and residential. Compared to other places in NW or NE that are closer to the action I have heard it be referred to as 'DC light' or 'diet DC', but that suits me just fine.

Safe neighborhood, lots of restaurants. Not super hip. More low key than other neighborhoods. Single family homes are prevalent. Great access to rock creek park.

Cleveland Park is a great neighborhood for those looking for something that feels like home but has the amenities of a city location (metro, shopping).

For a while I didn't like living in Cleveland Park because it's not a new or up-in-coming area that a lot of millenials in D.C. are moving to, but it has it's own charm. There are great resaturants, and it's convienent enough to anything you could need. It's also super safe and friendly.

We love the neighborhood! There's plenty of parks, dog parks, trails, restaurants, and bars nearby. It's a good mix of residential and retail. Wisconsin Avenue itself can get busy and loud during rush hour or weekend evenings, but you can easily find peace by the lawns of the National Cathedral or even by the hidden trails around Mclean Gardens. Plenty of bus stops that can take you to Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights, Dupont Circle, Georgetown and even downtown.

It's the perfect because the neighborhood itself is quiet & charming, but I can get to the rest of the city fairly easily. A few more bus lines would be nice, but I have lived in other parts of DC & chose to make this neighborhood home.

The neighborhood is a good mix of things to do and quiet at night. Mostly restaurants around but there’s also a library and movie theater. Metro provides easy access to other neighborhoods as well. Also very close to the zoo!

The neighborhood has a cute, little main street where there are a few bars, some wonderful restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and an old movie theater.

Cleveland Park is a quiet and relaxed neighborhood with a cute row of restaurants and shops, and of course the Uptown movie theatre. I love being so close to Rock Creek Park for hiking/jogging/enjoying the outdoors, and being walking distance to the National Zoo. Being on the red line is useful as well, depending on where you are going of course.

Cleveland Park is so close to the Zoo that it made it worth it to me. I love to go on walks around the neighborhood. Everything seems to be in walking distance and being on the red line is very handy. I feel safe here and would recommend this neighborhood to anyone.

Cleveland Park is much more vibrant than Foggy Bottom, there are lots of families and all the essentials (groceries, pharmacy, post office, movie theater) are in easy walking distance. The whole area is well-lit and safe.

It's not one of DC's up-and-coming neighborhoods, but the people who live here say they enjoy that, as it keeps the neighborhood steady.
