Downtown Nashville
Cultural hotspot for business, travel, and music
Downtown Nashville, a hotspot for tourism and music, the district features a plethora of bars lining Broadway, the main street attraction. Home to the 1892 Ryman Auditorium, visitors from all over find themselves at this historic spot. This all converges with the business and government district.
Downtown features historic buildings with music attractions, boutique hotels, art galleries and chef-driven restaurants. “South of Broadway” there are newly constructed hotels, eateries, music venues, and attractions. It is a very walkable and convenient town, with plenty of fun to be had moving around Nashville’s downtown area.

Right on a green way that takes you down towards broadway and beyond right on the river. Not really in walking distance of a lot of bars/restaurants (besides what is around broadway), but doesn't really bother me because you have to drive to most places in Nashville anyways. Love living on the river and seeing the Nashville skyline, Nissan stadium, etc from my apartment.

The Gulch is fantastic but currently under a LOT of construction. Great restaurants, shopping, convenient new Publix in the neighborhood, access to public transportation is great. It’s walkable to Bridgestone and Broadway but kind of hard right now because of construction. Very close to belmont, which has been great. You just take 12th Ave to Wedgewood and you’re there.

Rolling Mill Hill is a great little neighborhood with 4-5 other apartment buildings. The views overlook the Cumberland and the whole skyline that is downtown Nashville. Very safe to walk around any time of the day, and there's a great bar across the street along with a diner.

Capitol View area is newly developed and centrally located between midtown, downtown, gulch and Germantown neighborhoods. The area includes a Publix, a couple restaurants, businesses, and other apartment complexes.

I love living downtown. Being away from midtown allowed me some space between school and my classmates. It's so nice to take my afternoon walks and grab coffee all the time.

Lots of construction but that is normal for Nashville. I like that there is retail and a supermarket below the building.

I love the Gulch! There is the Turnip Truck which is a small, overpriced grocery store, but I appreciate having in cases where I don't want to drive to Kroger. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping options for when family/friends visit. They recently opened a small dog park, which is great if you have a dog. I also like going on walks outside, so it is nice to live in an area that is highly populated by foot traffic, so I don't feel as nervous going on walks alone.

Velocity in the Gulch
There are a ton of great bars and restaurants around the Gulch and its fairly centrally located. Its not a bad walk to Broadway, Music Circle, or Division and is close to the highway. The only downside is the noise on the weekends, but even then, its not a huge party scene late at night. Overall, the neighborhood is great.

Pine Street Flats
Pros - Very convenient to all the downtown Nashville burrows. Great food & shopping all within walking distance.
Cons - Lots of construction going on at the moment so it can get quite noisy and trafficked at certain times. Keep reading

Since I live in downtown, the “neighborhood” is very busy but at the same time very safe. You can walk to a lot of places from here: Bridgestone arena, Titans stadium, Broadway, etc

The North Gulch is definitely an up and coming neighborhood. A Publix and other shops are being built right next door. The Gulch is easily walkable, as is downtown.

The Guthrie North Gulch
Only location in Nashville where it's more convenient to take the bus. Not the safest location, not the least safe. If you've lived in a city before you'll be fine.
