Average for St. Louis. Not great to go about at night. Not much to do, have to go east to CWE for food & nightlife. Apartment is away from the main roads, but the main roads are heavily trafficked and full of fast food as they connect two major highways.

While there aren't many bars nearby, there is a coffeeshop, Jimmy Johns and a yoga studio within a 1 minute walk and can be seen from the front door. The place is right by Forest Park and the zoo.

The neighborhood is okay! It is quiet, there is a little grassy area to walk around/hang out, and feels very safe at all hours. However, it is not walkable by any measure. Forest Park is across a busy highway. Dogtown is across a busy road. The Grove is too far to walk.

The vibe is very graduate student/young professional with some young families around as well. The building tries to have a bunch of community events, and you're by a lot of shops with easy access to 64, but not a ton of cross-building community activities.

Very very safe - have never felt at risk. There’s 24 hour security, the building itself has key access-only entry, and there’s no crime in the area anyways

This is on the outskirts of dogtown. It is near other luxury apartments, with security that patrols the area. There is a yoga six studio, comet coffee shop, and Jimmy Johns within a 5 minute walk. The hampton is close as well. Public Transport is not so near though.

Nice little area, but I feel like it barely constitutes a neighborhood. I tell most people I live in Dogtown because they don't know what Cheltenham is. It's pretty much just the Plaza, the community college, and a small residential area behind us, bordered by Hampton Ave to the west. It feels like a safe area, but I avoid walking on Hampton Ave.
