Really great neighborhood. Scroggs Elementary School is great for kids. The community has a lot of activities on the green in addition to the great dining options nearby.

Lots of stores, gym in neighborhood, church, groceries--basically a little town. Con is that it almost feels a bit "Pleasantville." That said, the Walmart up the road (<2 min) is wonderful as is Fig & Honey and the huge Harris Teeter (<5 min away) in Chatham county. Families and children amidst Med School students and retirees. Great feeling, awesome convenience to UNC and downtown CH. Highly recommend.

Mostly graduate students, young professionals, and young families. Very safe, clean, quiet, lots of green spaces including the Southern Village Community Park which has basketball courts, tennis courts, large fields, and a 6mi running loop.

There is some noise from neighborhood entertainment that you can hear, nothing too loud. Not distracting to me and doesn't occur late at night. Minor pest problems are from roaches only, but we do have pest control come out and it's included in the fees we already pay, no extra cost. There is a tiny gym, about average to most complexes. I walk to the business building from the bus stop, as I take public transit since it is free, and it takes <40 to get to class (total).

Great neighborhood with some shops, restaurants, and a park. If you want anything outside of that limited selection, it takes 15 minutes in the car to get to anything else.
