Great Building

The best thing about this building is the atrium and the common room. Love the old, traditional "library" feel to it. Great to hosting people to watch a big spots game since there is a lot of seating, ability to bring in drinks, and also with the pool table!

Great location, not great management

I've been living in my building for almost 9 years and love its location and convenience. Management is the worst to work with though. It's close and accessible to almost every train whether you're going to the West or East side. Restaurants, bars, grocery stores are within walking distance. The Financial District doesn't feel crowded and has a lively after work scene, but not too noisy when you want to escape the party life.

Great Apartment but not perfect

Not the best location and the door men are very impersonal and more like security guards and dont even do their job and I had a big issue with management in my first few months because they said they lost my lease and instituted a new lease price which seemed very upsetting to me.

Downtown by Starck

Spectacular amenity packed building located on a car free street (across from Stock Exchange). While FIDI is known for being far and boring, this building is the opposite. Located near most subways (2,3,4,5,J,A,C,E) and bridges to Brooklyn. Apartments are oversized and have high ceilings. Not the most natural light, but it is the bedrooms that lack windows, which does not bother me. The building has every amenity you could ask for (full gym, pool and hot tub, terrace, squash court, movie theater, door men). If you want a convenient location (20 min. to almost any part of city), amenities and a large apartment, this is the building for you.

Solid FiDi high rise

Very happy living at 100 Maiden Lane. The staff is friendly, helpful and responsive to any requests we have. Nice sundeck on the 12th floor, but direct sunlight only in the morning hours. The gym is pretty small, but is passable for a quick workout. The building is clean, and we have not had any issues with pests. A ton of bars and restaurants in the area, but it gets quiet at night. Tons of subway access to both the east and west sides + brooklyn. Can be out in the LES or village in less than 20 minutes. Less than 25 minutes door to door to get to NYU.

Financial District Reviews

The neighborhood is quiet and has a community feel. There are a few undergraduate schools (Pace and Kings) but it does not feel like they dominate the area. It is mostly occupied by young couples and small families. Lots of schools in the area. Quiet and residential, but with the feel of a city. The neighborhood can be expensive, but you get a lot for your money. A lot of the restaurants in the area are on the more expensive side.
Love Fidi - it is quiet, great bars/restaurants, and you can get a good deal on rent.
Living in the FiDi was a great transition for a small town girl moving to the big city! Pretty much everyone goes home by 6 which leaves the streets quiet. The financial district is the part of the city that sleeps. There's multiple affordable grocery shops in the neighborhood, great dining on Stone St and it's home to the charging bull and The World Trade Center!
I love living in the Fidi. It's close to every public transportation, you can walk East or West quickly. It's growing in ways I don't love, and I worry that it's just going to be one big mall soon.
The neighborhood may not have the hottest bars or cheap eats, but your access to almost every subway line makes it easy to get places.
Kind of dead at night and weekends, but feels very safe and the quiet is nice. Also very transit-accessible, which is great.
Nice neighborhood, very quiet, close to many bars and restaurants and close to Fulton St transportation.
Safe, barely any noise at night. The only problem is the closest grocery store is a 10 min walk away.
