It's okay

Not terrible for the price but the leasing office is unpleasant and disorganized.

Highly Recommend!

My partner and I moved here last summer and love our apartment. The price is very reasonable considering we don't have to pay extra for surface lot parking or our pets. It's about a 10 minute drive to CWRU and is close to grocery stores, gyms (it also has a fitness center too), restaurants, and bars. Maintenance can be a bit slow to respond and we had a difficult time establishing a move-in date with the office managers; basically just be persistent with your emails/phone calls and keep following up until you hear back.

Gets the job done

Kensington Place gets the job done. I have not had any major issues since moving in. Some of the appliances are older but work fine and maintenance typically comes up to fix things fairly responsively. The building is mostly older people and is fairly quiet with a night security worker. Leasing office staff is very nice. Probably a little expensive for what you get, but still not terrible. Have to pay your own electric gas and wifi, and garage parking if you want it (lot parking is free).

Great apartments, good management.

The apartments are clean, quiet and sound proof. The management is great, and the management office is right downstairs in the building. There's a daves and home Depot right across.

Great Apartment for Students

Kensington Place Apartment has great management. The built-in services, including the AC, dish-washer, microwaves, work appropriately. And I have received a lot of warm help from the officer and maintenance groups. There are Dave's market, Home Depot, Marshall's, and several restaurants across the street, making it living here very convenient.

Above average option for “modern” apartment

It’s one of the best choices for students driving to campus: rather new building and unit, affordable price, free parking as well as paid covered parking available. By”new building” I mean you won’t live in an apartment of more than 100 years old with noisy floor and shady floor plan allowing no indoor ventilation. It’s a 15 min drive to campus parking facilities. But parking on campus is EXPENSIVE....

The leasing manager is not the best, but you don’t LIVE with her anyway.

Make sure you contact them FREQUENTLY when applying if you have any special needs like flooring preferences.

Good place to live for long time

Generally a safe and quiet place to live for a long time. The only problem is they only allow one year lease and it is kind of far away from CWRU, so it is hard to find roommate and car is required to live here.

Good Apt

Pros - Plenty of storage (4closets) with a nice balcony. It's located between school and Target which works well for me; 10 min to school, 10 min to Target/other stores. Surface lot is free and paid garage parking is available. Maintenance is very friendly.

Cons - shared laundry rooms, next to police/fire stations (can get loud), big building with lots of residents - not as personable.

Getting around Cleveland Heights

Cleveland Heights Reviews

I have a lot of friends who live nearby, and it's really easy to go see them. There's a grocery store within walking distance and lots of shops, including a bookstore. I also really like the fact there's a community garden on my street. The neighborhood has excellent public transit (3 buses run by my apartment, for example), and is a 30 minute walk from Case.
It is more expensive to live in Coventry than Little Italy, but it feels much safer, and parking is a lot easier.
I do not go out and meet people so it works for me. You will most likely be meeting older people in the apartment who like to hangout in the lobby, and there is no social scene in the circle. Very safe though with city hall and the police department next door.
I love living in Coventry/Cleveland Heights. Most of the time I walk to school (~20 mins), which my cherished time to listen to music and mentally get ready for the day. Recently, I have been carpooling with a friend because of the weather. I adore being so close to Coventry and I often will walk over to get delicious Phoenix coffee or takeout on a weeknight. All of my closest M1 friends are within a 5-10 minute walk. I am also a 5 min drive from Cedar/Fairmount (which has more delicious food and Luna Bakery). I feel very safe and I appreciate the cozy aesthetic of the area. I am also only a 10 min drive from University heights (Whole foods, UPS, First Watch, PetSmart, Target, Dunkin Donuts).
The apartment building is on Overlook at the top of the hill, but is next to the top of Little Italy on Mayfield as well. It's very quiet, safe, and a nice walk to school. Little Italy is a 5 minute walk, school is 15, and Dave's is a 3 minute drive. It's pretty quiet, people are friendly, and it's clean.
Cleveland Heights is a wonderful neighborhood to live in with plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Very close to CWRU, cheap uber ride to Ohio City and the Flats.
Very safe neighborhood. Up a hill from the CWRU campus, so it definitely feels off-campus, and a bit removed (in a good way). Lots of apartments and houses. Popular with med students. Good shops and proximity to other central areas (Little Italy, Cedar Fairmont)
It's so close to the school, I've never felt unsafe. Also because so many people live here, you'll never be returning alone from anywhere. Lots of people to carpool/uber with.
Very safe neighborhood (I feel comfortable going out to walk in the middle of the night). It is across the street from a Starbucks, grocery store, bars and restaurants.
