Great Value!

I give parking an average rating because there's lots of street parking around here, but I don't have a car so it's best to look at other reviews in that department. Otherwise, The Patricians is outstanding value. Every once in a while, an elevator is down, but usually up working again before too long. Rooftop patio was the selling point for me, but it's only open for about 6 months of the year, during certain hours (10-10 I believe). I'm an early riser, and I'd LOVE it if they opened it up at 6am.

Great Apartment!

I've been living at The Patricians for a couple of years now and have no complaints! I love being so close to walking paths (and the zoo and lake), there are also a lot of restaurants nearby. It's a great spot!

Great Experience

We have had a great experience living at The Patricians. The lobby is renovated and very modern. There is a 24 hour doorman on site to accept packages or visitors. During the summer months, the rooftop is gorgeous and has amazing views of the city. The downside is they close the roof early in the season (October) so you can't enjoy it on nicer days in the fall and winter.

Our unit is a great size for the price and has a very large kitchen. The building is older, which is noticeable in the squeaky floors and doors that won't always close shut- but we have been very happy with the overall quality. Maintenance requests are promptly attended to and our property manager is available for questions or concerns.

We have had some trouble with our heating this winter, but the maintenance staff has been reactive and deals with all requests same-day.

This apartment is serviceable.

Just moved here. Rent is a bit on the steep side but overall it's quite nice. I really like the architecture and layout of the building and the tenants seem nice enough except this one neighbor who makes a lot of noise with his cat. I like having everything nearby and transit isn't that far.

The Patricians

It's a fantastic and beautiful place to live, quiet and spacious. The kitchen works well, the light pouring in is great, and the landlords are very responsive and attentive to our needs whenever we ask them any questions regarding mechanical issues or what not.

Great Location & Building in Heart of Lincoln Park

This is a great apartment building in the heart of Lincoln Park. It is very close to the zoo, shopping and restaurants. Commuting to downtown, there are a number of buses and trains that will take me right to the loop. The building has a doorman who accepts packages, directs deliveries, and seems to know almost everyone in the building. Additionally, we have a room for bike storage, which is great in the winter. The laundry was recently updated and now uses a credit machine (instead of coin laundry) and we have brand-new machines.

Lincoln Park Reviews

Love living in Lincoln Park - so many good restaurants and parks around, and it's more removed from the busy downtown area. It's nice to have a little bit of distance from campus. There are multiple bus routes to the hospital (151, 22, 36) that are reliable and usually run every 15-30mins. I thought the commute might be bad, but it's the same amount of time that it previously took me to walk from my Gold Coast apartment to school, and I'm much happier living in LP. Only downside is that while it's cheaper than Streeterville/Gold Coast, it's still a pretty expensive area to live. Having roommates helps a lot and cheaper options do exist, but they're generally further from campus.
This neighborhood is great if you are mainly into packed sports bars. Other than that, though, it also has a variety of restaurants, many of which are BYOB, and there is a Whole Foods half a block away. You can also join the DePaul gym as a non-student for about $80/month. It's about 2 blocks away and has absolutely everything you would want.
Lincoln Park is a great neighborhood, lots to do and safe for the most part. This building is located between two L stops and on a busy street with a bus that runs frequently. The grocery stores are a bit of a hike, especially when Carrying your bags. Living next to the blues bars is good entertainment on late night, but can draw in a sketch crowd
Lincoln Park is the perfect neighborhood for anyone post-graduate and up. Great restaurants, fun bars, and close proximity to other popular Chicago neighborhoods, you really can't go wrong anywhere in the neighborhood. Mostly populated by college kids, young professionals, and new parents, you always feel safe when walking around. Everything important is within walking distance and when the weather is warm, there is nothing better than walking around Lincoln Park Zoo or the Lakefront Trail. Additionally, the red line, purple line, and brown line are all easily accessible. There are also ample bus stops and bike lanes.
I've lived in Lincoln Park for almost 3 years and absolutely love it. The area is relatively safe, there are tons of bar/restaurants, the lake is a short walk away, there are many public transit options and there's an overall energetic vibe since it's full of young professionals and new families.
it's an excellent neighborhood, right outside the lincoln park zoo. there are some restaurants and shops within walking distance. although you still have to walk a little bit, maybe 15-25 minutes. extremely safe neighborhood, very social. great for families
This neighborhood combines the ease of the city with the feeling of a more suburban neighborhood. There are many nearby bars, restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. At the same time, there are great schools and side streets that feel very residential.
This particular part of Lincoln park is great. It's a quieter area with a nice mix of young families, young professionals, and students. Easy access to many grocery stores. Unfortunately it's about a 12 minute walk from the el.
