Nob Hill 1-bedroom
Love my apartment. It’s near the Yard but much quieter, so convenient location to join in the fun but can also find a quiet break from school related activities. Collection of low brick buildings w 6 units in each. My unit has wood floors. Kitchen and bathroom a little outdated but fine (better than many you’d find in Boston). Management company has a presence on site and they are very helpful and responsive to any needs. Great amount of space for a single, and I have the smaller of the 1-bed floorplans.

Great affordable option
My partner and I wanted a two-bedroom apartment so she could work remotely, and many of the places in Ann Arbor were too expensive for this. Nob Hill has been perfect for us.
Pros:
-Reasonable rent
-Close to Ross
-Free parking
-Very responsive management
Cons:
-Dated/old
-No dishwasher
-Occasional maintenance issues (but always fixed promptly) due to age of building (especially plumbing)

Love it
I found this place through the Ross housing guide, and I love living here. It's quiet, on the west side near the stadium, and a 15 minute walk to school. Management is responsive to maintenance, and they are responsible with packages. Additionally, if you renew your lease, they do 1/2 rent for the summer months so you don't have to find a subletter.

Worth the hill
My apartment is wonderful, it's about a 15 minute walk from downtown and the law school. 5 minute walk to the stadium, Washtenaw Dairy, and around the corner from a convenience store. Parking is included, cats are allowed for a fee. No utilities are included but the apartment is very well insulated and thus relatively cheap to keep warm in the winter. The management team is very friendly and quick about maintenance requests. I once had them come out to fix a problem I had put in a request for the same day. Never had any problems with pests. They keep the sidewalks clear of snow and maintain the grounds very well. Even the older and non updated apartments have a cute 50s vibe. The only downsides I can think of is the relative smallness of the apartment and the very large hill you have to climb to get to it (but once you get used to it it's not bad). I'm keeping my lease for next year.

West Side, Best Side
Overall living at Nob Hill has been good. It's about a 15 minute walk from the law school and the neighborhood is generally quiet. We are close to the marching band field, which can be exciting on game days, but also means that you hear all of their practices. The apartment complex is on the older side, some of the cabinets and plumbing are outdated, but our carpets and the stove and fridge were new. In comparison, I would say it is priced fairly. The walls can be a little thin and the floors creak, so if you're a light sleeper, you may have some difficulties.

Affordable, spacious apartments in a great location
My partner and I love living at Nob Hill for the inexpensive rent (we wanted a two bedroom so she can work remotely from home), excellent location, and very responsive management/maintenance team. Some of the units are "updated" (hardwood floors and slightly less dated kitchens), but we're in a unit with a very basic (though certainly serviceable) kitchen and carpet throughout. There is nothing fancy or luxury about our apartment, and I will admit that I miss having a garbage disposal and dishwasher, but we have been very happy with our choice given our budget and location preferences. It's very close to many other Ross students (very short walk to 618 South Main, the Yard, and other small apartment buildings like ours), a 7-Eleven for basic needs, the Bus, and the Stadium, and it's only a 15-minute walk to Ross. Parking is included but we pay for other utilities (typically around $30/month for water, $60/month for gas & electric, and $40/month for internet). The management and maintenance teams are very quick and responsive, which is one my favorite parts (I know if something goes wrong, and it does occasionally because it's an old building, it will be handled quickly and easily).

Nice apartment, not nice leasing company
I really liked the studio apartment at Nob Hill. Tiny, but all I needed as a single person who spent most time at school. However, the landlords were unhelpful, unfriendly, uncommunicative, and obfuscated a lot. There were many repair issues they didn't notify me of, prices changed, the charge for laundry in the building went up, lots of nickle-and-dime-ing that felt very manipulative. I'm much happier at my new apartment in Ann Arbor. With how much Nob Hill rent went up, I'd recommend looking elsewhere, although for a studio in a non-smoking community, this may still be one of the least expensive.

Review
Very Quiet
. Parking is essentially never an issue
. Safe
. Little far from Ross (15-20 mins walking)
. Good size for the price. Includes storage unit in basement
. Outstanding and reasonable property management
. Sometimes can hear upstairs neighbors if they stomp around.

Quiet, but a little far
My apartment is pretty nice. Pretty big, full size kitchen, storage in the basement, and parking is included. It's a little bit further away, about a 15-20 min walk depending on weather. However, it's quiet as the area is either grad students or young professionals. Ann Arbor is pretty walkable, but sometimes it's a chore to walk to the bars and restaurants. It's not terrible, but there are definitely apartments closer to things.
