Decent building with bad neighbors
Building is OK, management is now relatively responsive, but neighbors are bad. (Kids throwing rocks onto the driveway, constantly breaking the underground garage entrance by driving into the door, overall lack of respect for fellow neighbors..)

Great location and amenities
I've lived at the Vantage Apartments (formerly The Hamptons Luxury Apartments) for the last nine months. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a stress-free place to live with lots of dining and shopping within walking distance and doesn't mind a drive to campus.
Pros of this place:
- If you don't mind driving ~20 minutes to campus, the location is great (within walking distance of Beachwood Mall, Acacia Reserve (a large park with lots of trails), Legacy Village (outdoor mall with Nordstrom Rack, Cheesecake Factory, Chipotle, etc)
- New appliances and central heating/AC
- Management is very responsive to maintenance requests
- Gym is large and well-equipped, indoor and outdoor pool
- Underground parking available for a fee
- Balcony with sliding door for lots of natural light
- Washer/dryer room on every floor
- Secure area for picking up packages
Cons
- Pricer than many apartments in Cleveland
- 20-25 minute drive to campus in the morning
- Difficult to pick up packages after hours (6pm) when office closes

The Vantage Apartments
My husband and I have loved living at the Vantage apartments for the last 2 years. It is in in such a convenient location because it is down the street from the highway entrance and from there downtown, the national park, and other parts of Cleveland are easily accessible. It is 5 minutes from Costco, Golden Gate Plaza and central Mayfield Heights. It is 10 minutes from Van Aken. It is 5-7 minutes from the Eton Mall and Pinecrest and it is literally right across the street from the Beachwood mall and Acacia Reservation Metropark. The apartments are well appointed and very large and the rent includes access to a great gym with a varied selection of machines and free weights, as well as two heated pools (one indoor, one outdoor), a sauna, and a hot tub. The complex offers package services, a storage unit for each apartment, and is dog and cat friendly.

The Hamptons Apartments Review
I have loved my experience at The Hamptons Apartments during the past year that I have been living there. My fiancee and I chose to live there because it was equidistant from his work in Solon and my school in University Circle. The commute down Cedar usually only takes me 20 minutes on average and Cedar can be a bit frustrating at times. But the amenities and location of The Hamptons more than makes up for it. The Hamptons is located right next to the Beachwood Mall and is down the street from Legacy Village so the restaurant/culture scene is very vibrant. The Hamptons is also very conveniently located right next to the entrance ramps for the 271 North and South highways. From there, it is only a five minute drive to access Costco, Golden Gate Plaza, and Mayfield Heights via the 271 North or Eton Mall, Pinecrest, Orange, and Chagrin Highlands via the 271 South. Additionally, you can access the 480 and the 90 freeways via the 271 South within 15 minutes of leaving the apartment. With regards to the amenities of the complex, the complex has indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, a hot tub, a sauna, a full service gym, an onsite personal trainer, an onsite restaurant that is top notch, an onsite salon, an onsite tailor, an onsite optometrist, package service, gate security from 9 PM-6AM, key fob access to all the buildings, an underground climate controlled garage with 12 month parking for $60/month or options to purchase parking month to month or in 3-month intervals for a slightly higher price, and a leasing office that is open 7 days a week with very helpful and amenable staff.
The only negative to living in this complex used to be that there was a weigh restriction of 40 lbs on dogs. But since the complex is under new ownership those weight restrictions no longer exist. There are still breed restrictions on dogs. Another potential downside is that because the complex is located in Beachwood, it is about 15 min. from University Circle/Cleveland Heights and about 25 min. away from downtown. So even though there is an abundant, vibrant, and diverse restaurant and bar scene in the Beachwood area, it does not have the walkability and college culture that is prevalent in Downtown and in the neighborhoods surrounding Case.
