Overall rating 5.0/10, based on 1 renter review Write a review
Mediocrity at its finest
Like every apartment there are pros and cons. I like that I can save quite a bit on rent as compared to my last review. My kitchen is much more functional than the one in my last apartment, and there is an air conditioning unit already installed in the wall. The carpet had been washed before I moved in which was nice. I also have three closets, not including the one in my bedroom, so that is great. You can pay rent on an app as well, which is very convenient. Lastly, the location is fantastic. I am right next to a couple grocery stores and gas stations, and the I-90 entrance is less than five minutes away.
The cons. I will not be renewing my contract here for a few reasons. The management listed a dishwasher as an amenity, but I found out later that there are only dishwashers in specific units but was not alerted as to which ones those were. Also, while there is an air conditioning unit in my wall, there is only one in the main room and not in my bedroom. I would typically just use a window unit in my room, but the windows open side to side, so you can't use a window unit. I had to get creative about directing fans into my bedroom during the summer months. While my apartment is clean, the hallways, stairwells, and elevators are not. They usually smell bad (especially the elevators) and have trash in them. Furthermore, a garbage truck does not come often enough so trash frequently piles up around the dumpster. There are two washing machines and dryers on my floor, but they are not cleaned very often. Maintenance has been responsive about some things - the more urgent things like when my air conditioner wasn't working or I had a big leak in my ceiling, but little concerns have not been addressed in a timely manner, if at all. Overall I don't think I would recommend this to anyone unless they were desperately trying to find a place with rent that is less than $700 per month, and even then I would be sure to let them know about the issues I have had - I think there are probably better places to live that while being a bit more expensive are probably less gross and frustrating.
