The Beacon - Clarendon

Nothing overly negative about this apartment building. Maintenance responds quickly. There are large windows in the apartment. Good appliances. Our particular unit doesn't have the best storage spaces. It's close to many restaurants and bars. Our unit is in the second building, so we don't get much noise from the restaurant/bar areas. I've never felt unsafe around this apartment. It's very close to a Trader Joes, Giant, and Whole Foods. It's a 6min walk to the metro and 3min walk to a Capital Bikeshare location. The gym is sufficient. Could be a bit better, but I think management is working on that.

The Beacon

The Beacon has been a great place to live thus far. Rooftop pool, pool room, and good friends has made my first couple months there a blast. I would recommend this place for any young professional who is interested in a fun/social environment outside of the big city. Looking forward to the summer months ahead!

Great place to live!

I've really enjoyed my time at the Beacon- great location and awesome amenities! The only downside is that the building is a little expensive but with access to a pool and gym it really is worth and you're paying for the location mostly so any building with such a centralized location will be equally expensive.

Great experience

We've loved it at the Beacon. Everything is brand new and most of the tenants are spectacular. It's great to be so close to the metro. This is a super pet friendly building and everyone mostly knows each other by the name of their dogs.I also think the employees are top notch.

Lyon Village Reviews

The property is set in a residential area that is pleasant and safe. Custis trail is nearby for running, biking, and walking. It provides easy and quick access to the city and Rosslyn. I love this trail.

MOM's market is on-site. I shop there occasionally but prefer the cheaper option of Giant down the street (a short drive or walk). The metro is a short and safe 5-minute walk away. The building does sit right off Lee Highway, but I have never had any noise or other problems associated with this. I like how quickly I can pull onto the major road instead of navigating around crowded city traffic. I drive to school in under 5 minutes via Lee Highway.
When I first came to school everyone said DuPont circle was the place to live and I wanted to be in the scene with everyone. After living in Arlington, I do not regret this decision at all. Everything is so clean and classy and safe. It is really the perfect community filled with young professionals. I personally think it is a better place for networking than the city.
Average neighborhood, food scene is unexceptional. If the law school wasn't right here I wouldn't be living here. Tons of crowds and people not taking masks / social distancing / pandemic in general serious and going to bars and clubs.
Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. Near Trader Joe’s, Giant, and Whole Foods for grocery needs. Metro transit steps away, but also a quick walk to Roslyn or Courthouse.
Great local area. Night life is okay, but very tailored to ex-frat bros. Tons of great food and an easy commute to the city.
Very walkable area, lots of restaurants, bars, and shops. Area feels safe to walk around even at night.
Metro, bars, restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, breweries, etc. all a block or two away.
Lots of bars, restaurants, shops, parks, dog park, etc.
