Review- great location but lacks quality amenities

The apartment has a great location, however the appliances such as the oven/stove and sink/faucet could be updated. It's really expensive to wash and dry a load of clothes there ($5 to be exact), which I also do not like. I would love if we had central air conditioning.

Great Apartment Location

Quaint apartment. Pest problems, no urgency with maintenance issues. Love the location--near lake, great shops, great restaurants, close to transit.

Antique-y feel, very wooded. Floors need repair. Large heaters in each room. Noisy in the halls at times, but not bothersome. Great closet space.

Just moved in this past June and am loving it so far! The neighborhood is great and the apartment itself is so roomy for a 1 bed. Solid vintage apartment in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park area. Been with lakeview associates 4/5 years that I've been in Chicago and they have been great!

I've been pretty disappointed in the maintenance department of this building. There was something wrong with the building's water pressure and we were with out water for a couple days. If you were to turn the sink on it would spit out dirty, lake water and it was disgusting. My building also has a gym area inside that may be from the 1970s. All the equipment is super old and creaky and not safe to lift or run on. I wish they would update that with new gym equipment.

I'm technically at the intersection of Lakeview, Buena Park, and Wrigleyville so I feel like I get a mix of all three neighborhoods in my day to day. Buena Park is much more family oriented and a bit more affordable, but it is small so finding an apartment there is tricky. Lakeview is very good for young professionals and pets but is definitely pricier. Wrigleyville is even more expensive, but has good nightlife and restaurants. All three are super easy to access transit from and get to the Chicago campus.
I love how convenient the location is. There's a ton of great restaurants really close by, so many bus lines right around the corner or within a 5 minute walk, and Lincoln Park right across the street. My commute downtown is only 15 minutes and there's also a bus available to get to the brown and purple L trains. There's a Mariano's, Trader Joe's, and Target all within 10 minute walking distance so shopping is very convenient. I generally feel really safe walking in this area as the streets are busy and well lit.
Similar crowd (young professionals), close to the lake, parks nearby, safe, accessible grocery stores and shops and restaurants.
Quiet, very residential, mostly families because of the great CPS schools nearby
Lakeview is a great spot for young professionals and those looking for an active social life. The area comes alive in the summer with baseball games and is not far from beaches and great shopping and eating areas.
Lakeview has plenty of beautiful, tree-lined neighborhoods and a robust bar and restaurant scene. It is a destination neighborhood with tons of boutiques, Wrigley Field, and a welcoming environment. I chose to live here because I am gay and wanted to have very easy, direct access to the lakefront path for running and biking.
The main reason we moved here was the neighborhood. Broadway, Clark, Diversey and Belmont are all within walking distance and offer all of the shops, restaurants, bars and grocery stores you could need. It really is in a prime, unbeatable location. Not to mention it's a block from Lake Michigan and walking distance to Lincoln Park and a short bike ride from Montrose Beach.
My street and neighborhood are usually fairly quiet. Sundays seem to be the going out day in the neighborhood but it isn't disruptive to my every day life. Overall it seems like a very safe area and being a young woman living alone, that is very important. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
