Trifecta Belmar
Great place to live. Spacious floor plan and very pet friendly. 15-20 minutes from campus but definitely worth the commute. Also closer to the mountain than you are in Denver.

Lakewood Reviews

The neighborhood is fairly suburban in character, but with its proximity to Colfax and relatively low prices, it is more colorful and less "bourgie" then some of the nearby areas. The apartment is just down the street from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and it's part of the 40 West Arts District, so there are some really interesting art installations and works in progress around. A few blocks down there is perhaps the best microbrewery in Denver (Westfax), as well as a few little shops and the iconic(ally awful) Casa Bonita. Within a short drive there are good grocery stores and such, as well as restaurants. Colfax itself is the red light district, but I generally feel safe walking alone at night on this part of West Colfax. There is a nice park a couple blocks down, and the complex is roughly halfway between Crown Lake and Sloan's Lake (despite the complex's name, Sloan's Lake is a little over a mile away).
Technically billed as part of the Sloan's Lake neighborhood, it's a bit away from the actual lake or the neighborhood as I think of it. It's not the best place for walking, but it's generally safe and people are kind enough. In the apartment complex, there is a great dog park, and dog owners have a nice little community.
The apt is located in Lakewood's downtown area. We can walk to the movie theater, grocery store, and tons of places to eat. There is a coffee shop within walking distance that I frequent.
My neighborhood is great, however, it borders some not so nice areas of lakewood. I never leave any valuables in my car overnight. Because there are bars walkable to my apartment, weekend nights can get a bit loud.
