Great Starter Apartment for 1L, maybe not 2L or 3L year
Overall, the apartment experience has been great. 10 minutes from school, easy commute with limited traffic, good facilities. However, my rent has been raised almost $150 a year over past 2 years, which is a bit absurd for a model tenant. I started about $750 a month, and lived here all 3 years. No dog breed restrictions, washer/dryer in most apartment units, patio/balcony in all units as well. Less than 10 minutes from Short Pump and many other amenities.
Cons: Far away from the bar scene (Uber is about $16 each way on nights to go out), Not a great place to host people because of location away from school. slightly thin walls, but nothing too bad. just loud music can be heard, etc.
If you want to get your first apartment and just have it be a place where you sleep/relax, this is a solid refuge from law school. If you want to be closer to the bar scene/going out, hosting people/pregames, then not the best place for that.

About Henrico
Henrico Reviews
My favorite thing about my quality of life here is that I live a 1-2 minute drive from Target, Kroger, Food Lion, Panera, Starbucks, CVS, Aldi, Wawa and more! It's so close that you can walk if you want to - I've done it on occasion. If you are looking for close proximity to restaurants and nightlife, this area in general is probably not what you're looking for. But if you want a quiet and safe neighborhood with easy access to convenient shopping, definitely consider this neighborhood!
Drawback: you MUST drive anywhere you want to go. Nothing is walking distance, unless you want to walk along a major road (you don't).
