The building have 6 apartment so it's pretty good for someone who doesn't want to live in a huge community. The size of apartment is insane but at the same time they are old (so you can guess the squeaky floor), so do not expect too much out of it. There are PLENTY of windows to get sunlight but then they are old and not so well maintained. Bathroom is decent size but as I said before, old. The heating is provided by radiator, which are pretty good. Laundry is downstairs (not free) and I wouldn't say I have had a good experience with it but it's workable. In terms of management, they have online portal to send any requests and they are pretty quick to respond to it. Even sometimes I have contacted straight through email for some of the issues and they have contacted me back in few minutes. For parking there is a municipality parking lot just across the road (~$115 for 3 months).

This apartment is on the cheaper side, and it is reflected in how the apartment is maintained. For instance, the pipes in the bathroom leak, and the is in need of a definite renovation. Overall, the maintenance personal are very slow to respond to calls.

However, the location is in walking distance to the CWRU campus and is right next to a RTA bus stop. As well, it is spacious and has a balcony, which is great for plants and setting up a couple of chairs. On the third floor, I feel pretty safe.

The pros:
It has a large living room and dinning room to make your own (fit 70-80 people for a party)
The bedrooms are warm.
Lots of natural light since it is the corner apartment.
Dont pay for water or heat (electric gas and cable renter's responsability)
Management is not annoying and will usually resolve issues within 24hrs.
Parking lot across the street is a city lot so it is plowed and cleared.
Next to grocery store, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants.
25 min walk to CWRU med school.
Shuttle for Case stops right in front of the building.

The apartment is old, which means(cons):
Windows are drafty and it can be noisy from the street.
Firestation nearby.
Kitchen feels small with little counter space and cabinets.
no dishwasher or hood over the stove
"patch jobs" to address issues which influence "aesthetic appeal"
Entire apartment is on one fuse... dont run your microwave and vacuum/hairdryer together.

Overall I had no major issues with the apartment, I just feel like I could get better value for my money in terms of convenience. Management was very responsive to issues, I loved the location in Cedar-Fairmount, and found it really well suited for parties. I did have a hard time decorating the space because it is so large, but natural sunlight is awesome to wake up to.
