The Oasis (Student Housing)

The Oasis is super close to LUCOM (3 minutes exactly) and within an 8 minute drive to any grocery store and multiple restaurant/ fast food options. I love that the apartments are fully furnished with really nice, new, modern furniture.

The apartment is good but not remarkable in almost every aspect. The biggest boon is the fact that it is the closest available housing to LUCOM. If that matters to you, then this is the apartment for you.

This apartment complex has had some negative reviews in the past. Some of these complaints are still true. There are some people who make lots of noise or who have loud cars. But I've never had a problem with noise past midnight or bad neighbors who refuse to quite down. The complex itself is very nice and they are in the process of renovations so things will probably be nice and new for you. The apartment has a reasonable amount of space and comes equip with basically all the main appliances and furniture you'll need.

There is a bus stop for those who don't have cars. And those LUCOM students it is VERY close to the LUCOM school and it is a very convenient location for med students.

Oasis is a great place to stay if you are need of an apartment!

I have lived at the Oasis for 3 years now. The complex is very nice. It has a pool, gym, outdoor areas that other apartment complexes simply don't have. The club house is another aspect that other places don't have and make Oasis a great choice. Moreover, the Oasis is very close to campus, offers a bus stop at the front, and houses students which makes the commute and community at the apartment very nice for a fellow student. Lastly, the management team plans several community events a semester that are entertaining.

So downfalls. Management is nice but can be a little lost at times. The electricity bill is not included and often varies significantly month to month and no real details are given. The apartments are nice, but the bedrooms especially in a 4 person room can be very small. 2 person rooms are much better.

The Apartment itself is nice, and the price is reasonable. The issue is the neighbors. It has many undergraduate students and athletes who like to stay up and be loud. Management has tried to tamp down on this. If you will live here, ensure you get some like-minded roommates. I am fortunate to have a room with older graduate students who are quiet and respectful. Others, I have heard, are not so lucky. You can apply with roommates in mind.

- 24/7 fitness center making working out with a busy law school schedule possible.
- Massive clubhouse with plenty of study areas, which is essential for how much studying law school requires + it is nice to have a change of scenery from time to time.
- Free printing at the clubhouse on industrial office printer (this is a massive plus for any law student).
- Pool open as long as it is warm enough to swim (this is essential for stress relief as a busy law student).
- High-speed internet.
- Shuttle that runs to green hall every 30 mins, right next to the law school. This is essential if something happens to your car as a law student.
- The property management team does an excellent job.
- I highly recommend living here, it is the perfect place to live as an LU Law student.
- Free events offered to the residents, giving a great sense of community.

Very convenient for LUCOM student as it’s less than five minutes away from CMHS. The gym is a plus and the clubhouse is convenient. The rooms are decently sized with Living area, pretty spacious. Designated cabinets for each roommates.

Amazing experience and you can’t beat being 5 minutes away from school. I’ve never had any issues with traffic. People here are very kind.

Convenient student housing close to campus. Price is middle range in my opinion, management is reasonable to work with, utilities are good.
