Park Place Towers
The area can look not great, but my friends and I (I know numerous grad students in the building) have never had an issue. It helps that there is 24/7 concierge who monitors who comes in and out of the building, so that adds to the feeling of security. 1 parking spot is included but additional spots are I believe $25/month? The gym has some newer equipment, we are so close to the highway which makes everything accessible and only 12-15 minutes from school.

Park Place Review
Good, love my unit but have had issues with appliances breaking and management not responding. I also believe rent should be lower based on location and the amenities being offered.

The best at this area
Advantages:
- gated entrance and gated closed roof parking lots
- large rooms
- a plaza near by, less than 5 minutes walk, (supermarket, dollar tree store, and others)
- bus stop (but not directly go to the university, you will have to take another bus which can take a total of an hour to go to university)
Disadvantages:
- no washing machine in the apartment (a separated washing room with additional fee)
- pricy for one person only

Spacious, good amenities, but a just-okay-location

Private walking trail, gym, pool, and clean building. Relatively separated from bad spots in Frog Hollow

It's good for the price
I pay around $790/mo for rent, and it's a nice place. In an okay area, with a cute park with walking path. The gym has all the necessities, and the staff are great. The biggest downside is that the leasing office is really hard to get into contact wiht-- you really have to badger them. Also, the apartment comes with one parking space, any additional parking space is another $50 per month. I do like it! It's a spacious apartment with decent appliances.

Park Place Towers Review
In the 2-bedroom unit that my roommate and I live in, there is a big living room that receives lots of natural light from the windows. The kitchen is on the opposite wall of the windows, and has a reasonable amount of counter space. There is one room that is notably bigger than the other and has a bathroom in it, while the other bathroom is right outside the other bedroom. The appliances are all in working condition (microwave, stove, fridge, dishwasher, garbage disposal). Laundry is done on the first floor and costs money ($1.75 for washer, $2.25 for dryer). There is a pool and a gym that are fine.

It's the best for what you get.
An included gym and pool, a nice pathway secluded from the rest of Hartford to walk on, a covered garage. These are but a few of the quality things Park Place has to offer at a much more reasonable price than most other places out there. It's also a mile from campus which works for people who walk, bike or drive and don't want to waste too much gas. The laundry system kinda sucks and elevators don't display correct floors but other than that it's the best for what you get.
