Brandywine

Brandywine is in a good neighborhood with about a 15 min drive into campus that’s mostly a straight shot up Tates Creek. There’s a Kroger, a goodwill, a vet and a park all within walking distance. The apartment itself is pretty decent, and there is maintenance that always responds within 24 hrs of putting in a request. There’s plenty of parking with no assigned spots or passes, and the neighborhood feels very safe with people and families walking around all the time. I have had a package stolen from my doorstep, but my apartment is one of the few that faces the street and I’ve seen neighbors leave things on their doorsteps for days without issue, so I think it was just my bad luck. It is expensive, but my rent has not increased much each time I’ve renewed and the leasing agents are all very friendly and helpful. Considering the amenities (like a balcony, free maintenance, a pool, pickleball court, etc), size a quality of the apartment, and the nice neighborhood, I think the price is reasonable. They are pet friendly (with $20/month pet rent) but there are breed restrictions for dogs.

Very safe neighborhood and the apartment is in great shape. There is maintenance that responds within 24 hours on weekdays (they have always shown up first thing the next morning after I have submitted a request). Pet friendly although there are breed restrictions on dogs. The only issue I have run into is that they won’t accept my loans as proof of income so I need a co-signer every time I resign my lease.
