Indigo Riverview

Indigo Riverview is located within 10 minute drive from campus and also walking distance of all the downtown attractions. What makes this property ideal is the downtown location. One side of the building overlooks the Mississippi River and the other overlooks the city of Memphis. Overall, the apartments are spacious. However, managment over the past 4 years has been a revolving door. The newest company has been slow in responding to tenants needs and keeping the community amenities up to par. This is an old building that runs on a boiler system (only air or only heat, controlled by the building). The elevators experience a lot of malfunctions monthly. Also, if there is a storm and the power goes out, the water goes out too because a switch system connected to the boilers needs to be turned back on. As of August 2023, Premium Parking took over the garage attached to the building that many residents used. However, they raised the monthly parking rate to $130+ per vehicle, so most residents moved over to the Comfort Inn parking ($80) that requires a short walk outside the building. Compared to other downtown high rise properties, it is more affordable, but growing pains and management turnover have kept this building from reaching its full potential. Though a pool was included with the amenities, due to renovations and building codes that pool has been nonexistent for the past 4 years.
