vintage means broken/outdated
The only thing good about this apartment is the size and the natural light. It is huge and flooded with natural light. It is also pet friendly. The management also cares about the appearance of the building and puts a lot of work into groundskeeping and decoration for holidays. Common areas are mostly clean.
Everything else is a pain. Kitchen is tiny and not up to code. No dishwasher. Oven and fridge are from the 80's and only sometimes work. Tap water tastes bad. Water pressure in the bathroom is terrible. Maintenance takes forever to respond to requests and I don't feel comfortable having them in my home after they scared my cats for fun.
Setup of the apartment means poor ventilation from the kitchen and bathroom, so the bathroom window must be open all the time or the entire house gets damp and smelly. Radiators are obnoxiously loud and heating is only turned on at night, rarely during the day, regardless of the actual temperature. Walls are paper thin and lots of the neighbors spend all or most of their time in the house.
Laundry is shared. There are only three washers and three dryers for 35 units, probably 75 people. It is very common for all to be in use at once, often by the same person. Gym/fitness area has lots of broken or improperly secured equipment and it is in the laundry area.
