South Street Living

Living right on South is very interesting. No matter what day of the week it is there is always a crowd. Even during the winter months. However, the summer is the crazy time. There are numerous times the policy need to force everyone off the street because it can get out of control. The price is very reasonable for a spacious 1 bedroom but there is no w/d in the building. Management is ok, they will eventually fix whatever needs fixing but it can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to get done with several follow up emails and/or phone calls. The utilities can be high as the apartment is not well insulated and the AC unit is old. There neighbors are very nice and friendly. Pet friendly building with no restrictions which is a HUGE plus. Parking can be difficult, especially if you do not have a permit. I would not mind living here if it was just one block off of south. If you are able to get used to the noise, the homeless and the crazy loud nights this is the place to be.
