Huntington Place
Huntington Place is less than a 5 minute drive from the UofSC school of medicine. The buildings are older but very well-built and maintained. There is so much space in the apartment, they are bigger than apartments closer to the main USC campus. It is a short drive from Walmart, Target, and Food Lion. The pool is open year-round. The gym is small, but convenient. There are hook ups for a washer and dryer but the apartment does not come with them, there is also on-site laundry near the front office. There are grills outside that everyone can use. There is a dog park and a playground in the middle of the apartments. They have a dumpster for trash at the front of the complex and a recycling container for cardboard in the back of the complex. I have really enjoyed living here during school because of the short commute to school and quiet neighbors.

Great Price Great House Terrible Area
My house is perfect in size, amenities, and location to my school. Unfortunately the crime rate and number of personal experiences witnessing local domestic crime in the surrounding area makes me fear the threat of crime occurring at my house. Also, I realize this is the reality of Columbia but with only student loans, I can’t afford to live in an area that is safer.

House near Med School
The house is great and close to the medical school, but it is far from the hospitals and downtown Columbia.

Location Location Location
Small house (around 1100 sq feet) sahred with two other roommates. A bit small but big enough. Very close to the school, so you could walk if you ever ran into any car trouble and absolutely needed to be on campus. Close enough to run home for anything during even short breaks, takes about 3 minutes to drive there. Would recommend.
