Great option for 3rd year students interested in rotating at MetroHealth
Best things: 5-min walk to Metro, affordable price, small office space in back, okay to have two kittens
Worst things: Carpet is old and kind of gross
Neighborhood: It's a solid, working-class neighborhood in southern Tremont, at Clark-Fulton. I've never had any trouble with anyone or heard about any crime. More racially diverse than other neighborhoods, which I like. The neighbors are friendly, for the most part. Ohio City and the Flats are real close.
Landlord is fairly responsive, but does need some encouraging. I'd give him a B grade. I've heard of a lot worse in Cleveland.
Parking for one car in the back. The neighbors have the other slot. Plenty of street parking, no permit needed. Obviously, don't leave valuables in your car, and definitely not in plain sight or with the doors unlocked. Laundry at Soap Opera is a 5-minute drive, and they offer free drying once you wash.
