Great Location, Sub-Par Housing Quality

The location of our house is great. We live right off of Franklin Street, and within walking distance to Main Campus. I typically ride my bike or take the bus to the business school. However, the home itself is very old and shows signs of being a college rental for years. Dealing with the landlord, who lives 2 hours away, can also be difficult at times. We have two dogs so it was important for us to live somewhere with a little bit of a yard, and we wanted to have a deck for our grill. Storage is great (we have a full attic and outdoor shed). We signed a two-year lease because we didn't want to move all of our stuff after a year.
