Great Place if you can find a spot
This is a great spot. I'd really recommend it for any international students and especially families with kids. The only downside is that you can hear the highway (or Ivar's). That noise level varies depending on which unit.
If a spot opened up for 1000 or less, I'd jump on it. It's a secure place and it's really in a great location. We're close to a bunch of cool restaurants and Trader Joes is just down the street. You're also just a few blocks from the lakes and all the neighbors on Hollydale are very kind.
Also, do not underestimate how important security is. We had to move in the middle of the semester at great expense from our former place because the new management had let in drug dealers. I think they've kicked them out now, but still it got very stressful. A good heuristic is to look for apartments that run credit checks.
