Good Experience so Far
I had some qualms about a lower level/garden level apartment since I'd heard some negative things about it. It's definitely chilly which is a plus in the summer because no AC needed but a big minus for the summer. Having some heating issues, but the owners are very responsive to addressing any issues we bring up. We pay all utilities except water. The location is alright. It's a 15 minute walk to the medical campus, and there's a CTA bus stop nearby as well. This may just be a general Chicago thing, but the number of crime reports in the broader area does give me some anxiety, and I end up opting to take the bus more often now. Otherwise, the apartment itself is very nice especially compared to others for the same price in the campus area. It feels like a proper home rather than a rundown shoe closet.
