Renting basement one-bedroom in Louisville

I found my apartment through another law student who was moving out. I primarily picked the place because it was much more affordable than my previous apartment and, while there is a housemate/roommate, only the kitchen is a shared space. However, I learned that the savings may not have been worth leaving the more expensive place. I've found it noisy, I miss the amenities more than I expected (old place had gym, pool, covered parking), and I tended to spend more money on other things like food after I moved to the new place.
