This residence used to be a frat house and is currently on frat row surrounded by other frat buildings. This is a huge house with 20+ rooms that can house 30-40 people at a time. There is a selection of singles, doubles, and triples with singles starting around $950 and doubles/triples going for cheaper. The rent pays for all utilities including internet. There are at least 6-7 bathrooms spread throughout the house that can be assessed by anyone in the house. All bathrooms are lockable so you have your own private space to do your business. This house is co-ed, but there is a restroom set side for women use only. There is one kitchen in the house that can get a bit busy during lunch/dinner times, but there is adequate space to food prep and enough fridge/shelf space to store all your food/spices/pots/etc. A big downside to the house is it's next to other frats, so the noise level at night and especially on weekends can be very annoying. There is a very nice on-site manager that lives with us 24/7 and helps with any issues that come up, like forgetting keys. The place is owned by a very nice Asian couple who is very understanding. Personally, I love this place because it is incredibly cheap for Berkeley. I rent a single and like having the privacy of my own room and don't mind sharing common spaces with other girls and guys. I usually wear noise-cancelling headphones to deal with the noise if I need to study. This place is also 2 blocks from campus and I usually walk to Minor within 8-10 minutes. This is a great place if you don't mind sharing bathrooms/kitchen with others and if you don't mind loud noise.
